Do the pharisees, wolves and those that Lord it over the flock really watch out for your soul?

I don't know, I don't know anyone like that.

But the verse still stands.

By the way, most of what I'm seeing today are pastors that don't preach against any sin that's mentioned in the bible (old gnostic doctrine - there is no sin) and call it loving the saints!

You should study the actual meaning behind that verse...it might surprise you.

Here is what Jesus had to say about exercising authority over God's people:

"Ye know that the rulers of the Gentiles lord it over them, and their great ones exercise authority over them. BUT IT SHALL NOT BE SO AMONG YOU, but whosoever would be first among you shall be your servant, even as the Son of man came not to be ministered unto, but to minister, and to give his life a ransom for many" (Matt. 20:25-28).

(1Pe 5:2) Feed the flock of God which is among you, taking the oversight thereof, not by constraint, but willingly; not for filthy lucre, but of a ready mind;

You left out verse 3.

1 Peter 5:3
Not as lording it over those entrusted to you, but as being examples to the flock.

As I already said, I don't know anyone that tries to do that.

Preaching against sin from the bible is not "lording it" over anyone.

And today that is exactly what people don't want.

Because the scripture is being fulfilled again which says....

II Ti 4:4) And they shall turn away their ears from the truth, and shall be turned unto fables.

"Preaching against sin?" Who doesn't do that?
