I just received word that a guy I was engaged to marry many, many years ago has passed away today. That started me thinking. In the course of my life, there have been 4 men who I was serious with.
Guy #1 - a guy I went with all the way thru high school up until the pastor of our church kicked me out for attending a UPC church and telling the kids what I had learned there. At that point, the pastor made us break up. We tried to get back together a couple years later, but he (the young man) insisted that I leave the church to be with him. I refused. Where is he today? He died of a blood clot about 3 years ago.
Guy #2 - a guy I went with while I was UPC. I was never serious about marrying him. In all honesty, I only went with him because it made my pastor crazy. This guy was 15 years older than me and he drank too much. He wanted me to marry him in the worst way, but I just kept refusing. We dated for about 4 years. Where is he today? He died of a pickled liver about 5 years ago.
Guy #3 - a guy I went with for just a short time when I was about 21. He asked me to marry him and like a fool, I said yes. Then one day he made a comment that after we got married, his plan was for me to work and support him so that he wouldn't need to work. Oh no! NOT gonna happen! So I broke it off. He died today of pancreatic cancer.
And finally, God saved the very best for last when He gave me Walt.
But remember - I almost lost him 2 years ago to the ruptured aneurism!!
So you tell me - what kind of luck is this?????
How's YOUR record? Care to share?

Beloved, now are we the sons of God, and it doth not yet appear what we shall be: but we know that, when he shall appear, we shall be like him; for we shall see him as he is. 1 John 3:2 KJV
I'm not sure just what you are saying here. Anyway my story is ... I prayed for God to send me a Godly man. He sent my husband of 31 years. I am so thankful. I am so blessed.
Married my first love and we're going strong after 18 years married. I'm still praying that she never realizes the extent to which she married below her. I definitely got the better deal!

Ok, that was funny! But go ahead and pray for him anyway. He still needs your prayers.
