Prayer
I'd like to ask you folks to pray for me. As some of you know- I was out of work for a while due to the situation with my wife. In fact, I was out of work from August to Feb.... My job was held open for me, but with the economic turn down, work has virtually dried up. In fact, I've done 1 job since returning to work. The company I worked for is, it seems, going belly up. In addition, HVAC work is for the younger crowd. Good work, good money, but when the body just can't take it any more- its time to move on. Which leaves few employment options. This area isn't known for being a business boom town. In fact, it seems everything is closing down. Just pray with me that God will provide employment that is stable and not quite as back breaking as crawling around in attics and in crawl spaces. Thanks for praying!

OA,
I have been thinking of your request all afternoon and all that kept going through my mind was how God worked in mysterious ways. Many times, what we saw as a problem or an "issue" was just Him having his way.
You have been called to preach and perhaps all that has happened to you was just his way of elevating you to where you needed to be to do just that!
Well, with that said, I wanted you to know that you have been in my prayers and that won't change anytime soon.

Re: Prayer
Bro. OneAccord,
May our wonderful Lord God speak to you and give you blessed assurance
in knowing that He knows exactly where you are and He sees your needs
and is well able to do exceeding abundantly above and beyond what you
are able to ask or think, according to the Power that worketh within you.
May He supply ALL your needs according to His riches in glory, by Christ
Jesus! Casting ALL your cares upon Him, for He careth for you!
Blessings, dear brother, in Jesus Name!

Re: Prayer
What a difference a day makes! What a difference prayer makes!
Late yesterday afternoon, I was called to an "emergency meeting" at the company I have been working for. Oh-oh. This can not be good.
The meeting convened. The owner spoke: We have just been awarded a contract to install HVAC in a large up-scale housing development. Beginning Monday morning... all hands on deck. Metal, tools and equipment are being deliverd to the job as we speak. I hope you guys enjoyed your "vacation". Last one you're gonna get for a while.
Good news... but... not such good news. More crawling under houses. More sweltering in attics. (We always, but ALWAYS, have more attic jobs in the summer...or so it seems.)
The owner spoke again: Rick- your job is building duct work in the shop and delivering supplies to the job. You are NOT to be under houses or in the attics. You are now the fabricator- not an installer. Now... lets go eat! (Steaks on the grill. Man, I didn't even know they still made steaks!)
So, friends and neighbors, stop praying FOR me, and start rejoicing WITH me. Once again, God answered prayer to a "T".
