We had a great service this last Sunday. There was a visiting speaker from Arizona I believe. In the morning we had 3 get baptized in Jesus name. In the evening we had a move of the Spirit, two prophecies to the church. I had a "vision" of sorts. Before the service the Lord spoke to my pastor to mention the need to be planted in a church and he spoke on that after the preaching.
He was not aware of it, but there were visitors that were going to different churches and were not planted.
Prior to that I had been praying and fasting and the prayer on my heart was for the Lord to stir up the gifts in us.
Praise God....I don't know about you but I don't care about some eloquent speaker..I don't care about some speaker that can make lots of funnys...I don't care about all that if the gifts are not active. I've heard every message under the sun. And I have heard some great ones, but Paul said
1Th 1:5 For our gospel did not come to you in word only, but also in power and in the Holy Spirit, and in much assurance, as you know what kind of men we were among you for your sake.
Sometimes I feel like we are too much like the greeks of Paul's day who seek knowledge. Knowledge is good, but the true church has the demonstration of the Power of the Spirit of God!
