There has been a TON of exaggeration for years, which is why when I first saw this I actually kinda cringed. I KNEW the Devils Advocates would be out in force and maybe for good reason

The problem though, I see, is their side does not really have a healthy skepticism. Ask questions, examine facts. Let others come to conclusions
I agree with this, Prax...why do WE feel WE need validation? The Word doesn't need validation...it's the Word. So unless we are cheering that one soul heard a word of truth who may not have heard it any other way, our joy is for the wrong reason.

An example: When I first saw this video clip it was on my FB news feed, so I clicked on the link. After a little bit of listening to the 'testimony', I skipped over to the end, and heard his remarks concerning Jesus and quoting Acts 2:38.

There were 2 comments on the YouTube link...one was something like "Amen!" The 2nd post disturbed me because the poster said something to the effect, "How wonderful for US?"

I posted, "For US? That's what's wrong with US...it's too much about US and not enough about THEM." Not exact, but lose enough...

Next thing I knew, the posts were gone and the link locked for comments.

What did I say that was wrong?

The fact that that LS or anyone is speaking in any public arena does nothing to validate us as a whole or our personal experience and relation with Jesus Christ.

The ONLY good thing is the truth of the Word of God spoken

"That the excellency of the power might be of God and NOT of us."
