Why Do You Believe Jesus is God?

Post any scripture, why you believe, Jesus the man, is God.
And why you believe, that scripture means to you that
Jesus the man is God.

Re: Why Do You Believe Jesus is God?

In the beginning was the Word and the Word was with God and the Word was God.

And the Word (which was God) was MADE FLESH. See John 1 ;)

Why do you think that the author of this verse did not write it this way?

In the beginning was Jesus the Word and
Jesus the Word was with God and Jesus the Word was God.
And Jesus the Word (which was God) was MADE FLESH.

Please if you will, answer this question,
to the best you can?

because it was already apparent that the Word (which was God) was made flesh. There is no other reason to put it into any other way. :thumbsup Pretty simple really.

Then why was the author writing about it?
Being it was apparent as you have said?

The Author (John) wrote about it so that you could understand. I wouldn't worry too much about it because there are millions who do not understand that Jesus was God manifested in the flesh. I myself have a hard time understanding why people just don't get it.

As far as why John didn't come out and say that Jesus the word was made flesh is redundant. All you need to understand is that the Word (which was God) was MADE FLESH.

Do you believe that Christ (the man) as you put it is the saviour? If so, then how do you view Isaiah 43:11 (I, even, I am the Lord; and beside me there is no saviour.) If you believe this from Isaiah, then the man Jesus could not have been the saviour unless He was God manifested in the flesh. I hope this helps a little bit.

It is assumed that the author of this is the apostle John.

In the beginning was the Word and the Word was with God and the Word was God. And the Word (which was God) was MADE FLESH.

The apostle John was with Jesus.
He would have wrote this after he was with Jesus.
Why did he not write it this way?

In the beginning was Jesus and Jesus was with God and the Jesus was God.
And Jesus (which was God) was MADE FLESH.
Or
In the beginning was Jesus Christ and Jesus Christ was with God and Jesus the Christ was God. And Jesus Christ (which was God) was MADE FLESH.

The point being, there is lots of room for error in your theory.

And in rebuttal to this you have said, I would say to you

I wouldn't worry too much about it because there are millions who do not understand that Jesus was Michael the arch angel manifested in the flesh. I myself have a hard time understanding why people just don't get it.

Come on man.

Get real!

Oh, you were wanting to argue in a mean way, I'm sorry. I have nothing more to add then.
