I doubt if Jakes will issue a statement at all, but if he does he won't do it right away.

Why are you so concerned with T.D. Jakes' opinion?

I couldn't care less about it opinion... I'm not asking for his opinion.. I think you have misread me. I want a statement from him, as a spiritual advisor to Barry Obama, in light of Mr. Obama taking an opposite direction of what Bishop Jakes has publicly stood against.

T.D. Jakes holds a great realm of influence... more than some of us realize, especially in Pentecostal (Oneness and Trinitarian) circles. Lately, he has been a horrible steward of the platform that God has given him... and if he again doesn't take the stand that his position necessitates, my thoughts are that he should begin to be called out on it by other church leadership.

...do you think that Jakes really needs to comment on Obama's new stance?

And what kind of damage will further support for Obama cause for Jakes if it he doesn't denounce the President's new views?
My expectation is that if Jakes makes a statement, it will be to the "home church." I doubt if he will comment publicly. I could be wrong. :whistle

In my opinion since Bishop Jakes is a person of influence and is supposed to represent the Christian faith,I feel he should issue a statement so people will know where he stands on this issue.

I agree that Jakes has been somewhat disappointing on several levels. I really don't think that he will make a public statement, or if he does, it will be so watered down it will satisfy no one. We'll see. As to whether he should or not--I agree that he should.
