Does Anyone Have A Testimony?

I thought that it was time to have a testimony thread, since we haven't had one in a while. First of all, thank you for praying for me and my family after my uncle's passing this weekend. God has done some miraculous things through this loss in our family.

God has restored a broken relationship between a mother and son and my father and I have had time over the last few days to strengthen our bond. For those who don't know, I was estranged from my father for 30 years until he contacted me a couple of years ago.

Today, there were several dignitaries (board members) from the COG at my uncle's funeral. My cousins' husband is Mark Williams who is the General Overseer for Nevada and California and my grandfather has remained to be highly esteemed for the contributions he made during his ministry to the denomination. Anyway, my dad who has never served the Lord for the first time was moved by the word of God.

When Mark's father, who was the General Overseer of TX some years back, spoke and read from the word, my father trembled and I could see that God was moving on him. The word of God draws men unto him and the effectiveness of his word wasn't diminished because a COG minister was the one who was doing the reading. It wasn't the singing or the accolades that moved my dad, but the Word of Life!

God is such a loving and faithful God and I am so thankful for the work he is doing in my life and the lives of my family.

What has God done for you recently that you would like to share with us?

My doctor and a couple of specialists told me that I was going to die a year and a half ago. One cardiologist simply looked at my chest x-ray, and without ever seeing me in person wrote up a report - it looked that bad. When undergoing different exams- the radiologists and technicians could not even find my heart! They knew it was there obviously, they could hear it, but they look for specific features of the heart in order to make their measurements and they couldn't find my apex at all.

My heart was literally broken. Years of chronic infection and the subsequent stress really tore the muscle up. The major arteries had ballooned in size and other organs were being affected. Once we finally got the causes of the infection identified healing was able to begin.

When I went in for a check up last spring my cardiologist stood in the doorway with tears in her eyes. She then ran up and threw her arms around me, crying. I was shocked and didn't know what to do - was it that bad? But she laughed at herself and explained that the recent tests showed "miraculous" recovery. I went in for an echo recently and for the first time the technician found my apex right away. I kept waiting for the usual painful procedures that had enabled all prior echo techs to find it. But this tech just looked at me like, "What are you talking about? It's right there."

God is indeed a healer.

Dear Chosenbyone,

I posted a testimony but people are overlooking the good things for all the negative regarding several organizations. It always makes you wonder why people prefer the negative/bad news to the positive/good news. I guess that is why so many reject the gospel.

Blessings, Rhoni

God woke me up this morning after a safe, restful night.
I had hot water to bathe in.
Decent clothes to dress in.
Shoes to wear.
Food to eat.
A car to drive to work.
A good job to provide for myself and my family.
As far as I know I'm in relatively good health.
My children are well.
I don't have to follow the casket bearing a loved one today to a grave.
I know the peace and joy and abundant life of a loving Savior.
He had a brand new batch of Mercy for me this morning!
His Grace is sufficient.
Jesus is my best friend.
I can read my Bible without fear of being arrested.
I can call on Jesus anytime and know HE will be there.
YES! I have a testimony.....
He's done so much for me I cannot tell it all!
