IAM......Gone.....................
To all the wonderful members of AFF, and the rest of you too - ……
I was introduced to many of you on NFCF, and then when it came time for AFF to start up I had the awesome honor of getting to play a part. Because of these events there are some wonderful friendships that have been made.
As an owner of AFF you are viewed differently. I realize that to those of us on here that may not be fair, but hey, we are the AFF family. But to those who are outside, when they look at AFF and know that I am one of the owners –we are held responsible for the actions that happen on here. If a truth is posted -even though we did nothing to help that matter– we get the credit; and if something that is not as true is posted, we are held partly responsible. Like it or not, that is just the way it is.
Another thing that has happened in my life since becoming a poster/owner is that I find a lot of time is wasted that could be put to much better use.
With these two facts being what they are, I am saying goodbye to the forum. I will no longer be posting with you guys, nor will I be doing admin work, nor will I be an owner from this point forward.
This is not a witch-hunt, I am not angry, but I feel for the church I am honored to pastor to have the best chance at making a real difference in our world, I need to devote my time there. As pastor of a great church that is my responsibility.
I want it to be clear that I will no longer be an owner of AFF. I am no longer responsible in any way for the good, or not so good, that is posted here. I have been assured that ownership will be carried on with no problems. AFF was set up to allow that no one owner can decide to pull the plug and the forum shut down. You are seeing now where an owner can step out of the picture and the forum will not be affected as far as staying up and running.
Feel free to contact me if any of you ever want to at the email address that goes with IAM (I will be leaving the email capability active) but put something in the subject line to make sure I do not throw it away. Say something like “Hey, we miss you on AFF!” or “Hey, we are glad you are gone from AFF!”
I say to all of you – God's speed – be blessed – stay the course – and Whatever It Takes …….. Live for Jesus.
To my fellow owners – it has been real...it has been an honor...I respect each of you more than you will ever know….. Love you all.
To the rest of the admin team....you are the best - you are not thanked enough for your hard work.
To my friends – Love you too.
To everybody else……oh wait there is no one else…..
God bless,
IAM
James Renfro Jr.

I wish you would still post. Think about it then you will not feel reponsible and you can terrorize the other owners.

Brother Renfro,
I'm sure you weighed this decision carefully and trust your better judgment.
I wish you the best and continued success in your journey.
May God bless you and your love ones .... continued prosperity in everything you endeavor.
I love you in Christ.
In His and your service,
Dan

NotMovingPerson,
It saddens me greatly to see you step away from participation in the forum. I can't help but think at least part of your reason given is just an excuse because it doesn't seem to me that you have spent an excessive amount of time here.
However whatever the reason you are leaving I wish it were not so. Although we disagree on many things I have always respected your intellect and integrity on AFF.
It is a great loss for this forum that you will no longer be a part of it. I wish you the best and pray that you are blessed beyond your expectations both personally and in your ministry.

Yeah, ok, but if I had a vote I'd vote NO. Hate to see you go. Why not take a break for a while and think on it?

Apostolic is defined on AFF as:
- There is One God. This one God reveals Himself distinctly as Father, Son and Holy Ghost.
- The Son is God himself in a human form or "God manifested in the flesh" (1Tim 3:16)
- Every sinner must repent of their sins.
- That Jesus name baptism is the only biblical mode of water baptism.
- That the Holy Ghost is for today and is received by faith with the initial evidence of speaking in tongues.
- The saint will go on to strive to live a holy life, pleasing to God.

IAM,
Sometimes you have to listen to those small voices, just don't let anyone see you buying them a happy meal!
I know me stepping away for a while has really made a difference in my daily walk with God, my responsibilities as a manager at work and my weariness of things that get ya down sometimes on the forum. No one can fault you for making your church and family a priority.
You are nuts, but a fun nuts and I'm glad our paths crossed and hope to some day meet you and your family face to face! Maybe I need to go on a cruise with ya to watch the kiddies while you and the Misses have a night out on the deck!

I for one.....
HAVE NO problem publicly saying that I love this man. Many of you know him as Admin, Owner, IAM (AND OTHERS) LOL...BUT I know him as Jim.
I thank God that because of this forum...he and I met. Because of this forum I found the brother I never knew existed. YES....he has TAKEN ALOT of heat for my stupid mouth....and yes we fight like dogs and yes he has a temper and yes he says what he thinks and yes he will tear a new one where tearing is necessary....BUT the man, Jim, is a priceless man that I am honored to call my friend. HE CAN be greatly misunderstood. BUT I can assure everyone that his heart is in the right place.
I have slept in his home and he in mine, vacationed together and even been honored to stand in his pupit.
I hate this decision.....BUT I do understand it.
Jim, I want you to know that your a great man with a heavy anointing. Of course I can hear you now say...."Thanks Dan, but I already know that" and then crack that dumb grin. BUT.... It is true none the less....I told you the last time I was at 1st Church...that the level of anointing I feel every time I step foot on your platform is one that could win the world. I stand by that.
You have brought much joy and memories to our families life...my prayer is that when this all calms down...the memory building continues.
To all of you...Ill say this...TO KNOW Jim Renfro Jr...is to LOVE JIM RENFRO JR.
Not your opinion, or your thoughts...but to KNOW this good man is a privaledge that I treasure.
NOW....as far as our fights, me and his, LOL...thats just because we are so much alike! But you know what? Getting a rise out of him can be fun too!
There are many areas this man has helped be bring balance to my life in.....There are many areas I have wanted to kill him in too!!!!!:sshhh
But all in all.....Through it all....the threads, the posts, the arguing, the misunderstandings, the twists, the fussing.......My respect and appreciation for you is unwavered.....because I know what dwells beneath all the facade.
Till the next phone call... LOL
Dan

Personally I hate to see this good Christian man go,but He has a precious calling and that is the calling of oversight in God's church.
I will miss him dearly, but He must follow his heart.

this isn't really true and is easy to stop from being the case...
you simply post somewhere in the rules section that this is a message board where people post thier opinions, things they hear, etc., and it is not the responsibility of Admin to function as fact-checkers and editorial staff like this is some sort of newspaper... It isn't...
If someone posts something untrue on here, it is not your fault, it is not your problem and it isn't something you should feel the need to defend, brother... and NO ONE should feel they have the right to hold you responsible for something that someone else says, that just plain and simply is not your job or your responsibility, even as the owner of this forum... You can't possibly be made some sort of fact-checker, its absurd and impossible to expect you to even attempt to do such...
the only way you are responsible is if it is something illegal and you do nothing about it...
