Can we Blame the Devil for all Things that happen in Church?

I have pondered on this lately.. Churches struggling.. People leaving...

Is it the Devil's fault?

I don't think so in many cases... I think a part of the problem we have is not looking at ourselves and realizing that there are area's where we need to change..

So many times it's easier to point out our neighbors problems while we ignore or disregard our own short-comings...

and it's even easier to blame the Devil..

It just seems that when troubles come... we look everywhere else but the mirror...

any thoughts on this?

I think you said it very well!!

Someone once said in a sermon I heard that the devil gets way too much credit that he doesn't deserve, while God doesn't get near the credit that He does deserve.

I agree. I hate it when people are always talking about fighting the devil, he's attacking them, blah blah blah. Don't give him any credit, just live for God. I believe he exists and that's all the time I want to waste on him.

My mother-in-law lives a block away, and she's great. I couldn't ask for a better one.

Yes, we can blame the Devil for every thing that goes wrong. We can give him power and show him homage by fearing him. We make bad choices and the devil gets the credit. We forget to show love and kindness and it's the demon hoards that are reeking havoc. We can give in to our fleshly desires and it's satanic oppression.

When will the Church quit giving the devil glory and start placing the blame firmly where it belong, on the mind and will of the flesh. We have to choose evil or good, blessings or cursing. As I've stated before the legions of demons could not keep the unchainable, naked, crazy man away from Jesus. How can the devil have power over us?

Resist the devil and he will flee. Wear the whole armor of God. Greater is he that is in you than he that is in the world!

Eat dirt, devil!

All POWER belongs to our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ!!!!!!!
