Today Is A Great Day!

Monday!

Not only is it a great day to be alive but it is also a Provincial holiday in most Provinces!

Most Provinces call the first Monday in August thier provincial holiday for example: in B.C. it is B.C. day, in Alberta it is Alberta day etc.

Woo! Hoo! Going to Spanish Banks today and watch the ocean and let the kids
frolic around on the beach or in the water.
Spanish Banks is a great place to sit down and relax on a log-very peaceful.

Hardly any people in bikinis here-they are mostly at Kitsilano, English Bay, or Second, and Third Beaches!

Ah Life is good!

Happy Monday to you Ron!

Never heard tell of Spanish Banks but I'd love to check it out. Just waiting to see if the sun is going to show itself -- if it does, we may just take a drive.

Happy B.C. Day Felicity, do you and TB have the day off?
Spanish Banks is nice, one can look at the mountains, oceans, and kids playing and suddenly, problems don't seem so big anymore.

The summer is going by fast and we want the kids to enjoy it before school comes up in the fall.

Spanish Banks & English Bay is a history lesson in itself.
It lets us know that the Spanish and British both explored these waters and once were going to battle over this territory.

In the end, Spain picked Mexico, Central America, & Parts of South America.
Britain got North America.

Yes, we have the day off. That's the great thing about this area. You've got mountains and ocean and the most gorgeous views. I love the water - anywhere by the water and I'm in my element.

Just waiting here on the sun........
