The Escambia County, Florida, 911 call center receives about 600 emergency calls a day, but dispatchers were a little busier this month.
"We had a guy call us about 20 times a day for the past month," says 911 Director Bob Boschen. "He's prank called us nearly 300 times. It's frustrating, one prank call is one too many."
Sheriff's deputies arrested Cheveon Ford and have charged him with harassing communications. He's being held on a 50-thousand dollar bond.
"He would call and hang up when a male dispatcher answered," says Boschen. "But when a woman would answer, he'd ask strange questions, some dealing with the dispatcher's feet. Many of the calls were sexually graphic."
Deputies say when questioned, Ford told investigators he was out of minutes on his cell phone and knew 911 calls were free
