The moment I heard about it, my first thought was that he was either a Clinton or Sanders supporter. I knew I had a 50/50 chance of being right, either way.

"I have just been informed that the alleged shooter at the Republican baseball practice is someone who apparently volunteered on my presidential campaign," Sanders said in a statement delivered on the Senate floor.

"I am sickened by this despicable act. Let me be as clear as I can be: Violence of any kind is unacceptable in our society and I condemn this action in the strongest possible terms," he added.

The Vermont senator said real change can only be achieved "through nonviolent action, and anything else runs against our most deeply held American values."

"My hopes and prayers are that Representative Scalise, congressional staff and the Capitol Police Officers who were wounded make a quick and full recovery," he said.

"I also want to thank the Capitol Police for their heroic actions to prevent further harm."

Yeah liberals may be quicker to turn to violence, but conservatives probably have better fire control.

Religious fundamentalism is currently a growing threat throughout the world. Growing sovereignty movements, militias disguised as patriots clubs are growing throughout the United States. And most have a membership composed of extreme right-wing Christians. There are currently churches that are being noted as possible bastions of extremism. One church that I know of personally is in Kentucky. This church has a virtual arsenal of weapons stored on the property. They have an active "gun club" and "hunting club". The day is coming when Christians who embrace civility and the separation of church and state are going to have to get real vocal about their opposition to radical Christians in this nation. So far, I don't think the growing seriousness of the issue has set in yet. But something tragic will most likely have to happen to get us to realize how serious this is within our ranks. However, we will have to take a couple steps back, realize the reality of the situation and side with our local authorities against the extremists.

If we were honest, we would say something that sounds utterly shocking and no doubt will be taken out of context and lead to hysteria on the part of the usual suspects, but the fact of the matter is that today's Republican Party qualify as candidates for the most dangerous organization in human history. Literally.

To clarify the statement Noam Chomsky said:
