Thad Cochran voter fraud allegations
I have been waiting for the media to take this from the blogs to the media and now it has begun.
True the Vote has filed a lawsuit against Mississippi's Secy of State so that election material can be inspected. True the Vote had previously requested this information from the GOP Chairman who didn't cooperate and moved to certify the election. Sad a lawsuit has to be filed to get to the information which should have been handed over readily.

Hannity: Barbour "Has Some Answering To Do" For Anti-McDaniel Ads In MS-Sen
In a nutshell, backed by Hale Barbour, Citizens for Progress put out a race baiting ad against McDaniel.
I would note that Bret Favre's Cochran endorsement was political payback for Barbour getting his brother pardoned. He has some answering to do as well.

You have Baptist minister, Rev. Stevie Fielder, claiming to pay black voters to against McDaniel who he was informed was a racist. Now he is speaking out. Many think he is in it for the money, and he might be, but Watergate had a paid informant, so we will see if this can be substantiated.

Great news! I've been watching for more information on this, hoping he didn't give up and concede. It's dirty what some Republicans did. How high do you think this goes in the party...as far as helping to make sure Cochran was re-elected?

I would suspect it reaches to Reince Priebus. They certainly have no like for the Conservatives in the GOP. I mean, after McCain calls them "wacko-birds", what are we to think about the GOP?
The GOP has used $23 million in 2014 to defeat other Republicans. That money is usually reserved for presidential elections.
And when you have Mitch McConnell spending $11 million to defeat Matt Bevin, a conservative challenger? It's funny that he has to spend that much to defend his multi-decade incumbency. That isn't really winning, it's just maintaining power.
I am sure that Joe Miller, Alaska, can identify when he won his Senate seat fair and square (2010) and then the Establishment ran Murkowski as a write-in who now has a 36% scorecard with Freedomworks and Heritage Foundation. Cochran has a 41% scorecard.

FEC Looks Into PAC That Backed Thad Cochran
Political action committees are required to file the reports within the 24-hour window for any expenditures $1,000 or greater made between two and 20 days before an election. The regulation is meant to increase oversight as elections draw near.
The FEC also pressed the PAC on $15,000 it paid “Winning Edge,” a political consulting firm based in Dallas. The date listed for the expenditure did not match an entry on a schedule that the PAC filed, according to the FEC letter.
The PAC has until Aug. 1 to reply to the FEC letter, after which point it could face an audit or an enforcement action.

FoxNews.com has nothing. They're all in with the establishment. None of the mainstream media has anything either. It's up to conservative bloggers to raise the level and force this to be covered.

This makes me want to change my voter registration back to independent. But if I do that, I can't vote in the republican primaries, which is the reason I switched back to being a registered republican -- I was turned away from the polling place during the 2008 Republican primary.

That's what I've been checking on the last few days and found that Fox was NOT reporting this issue. I think that True the Vote filing their lawsuit caused Hannity to get on board with the reporting.

In Texas you don't have to register. You can vote for whoever you want in a primary.

Re: Thad Cochran voter fraud allegations
The Pastor may have been duped, but I'd almost guarantee it wasn't by people directly connected to Cochran.
Look at the video images.
Look at who the email is from.
Look at the email address he/she tells the Pastor to use for communication.
A bigger question for me is did this Pastor actually participate in this scheme. If he did, how in tarnation did he convince himself that this was the right thing to do?
Yes, McDaniel has ties to known racists-- but a PASTOR should KNOW not to get invovled in a scheme like this.
Then, am I being judgmental when I wonder out loud, just how big of a church does this gentleman pastor? He doesn't look like he would be influential to a large amount of people.
The whole thing just seems putrid!
It wouldn't shock me if there wasn't someone loosely connected to the McDaniel camp involved in this. After all, a few of his supporters stooped to new lows earlier this year.
Mississippians earn their reputation!

Re: Thad Cochran voter fraud allegations
Cochran wouldn't have had to "buy" black votes-- McDaniel's racial reputation precedes him.
I bet this "scandal" is a farce.

Re: Thad Cochran voter fraud allegations
I don't see how this Pastor could keep his pastorate at all through this putridity!
Whether the "scandal" is legitimate or not, the fact of the matter is he showed a willingness to participate in something blatantly and stupidly dishonest!
WELCOME TO MISSISSIPPI!
Not everyone there is trashy and/or ignorant-- but my goodness, it seems they are the ones I hear about the most!
