"Yes, Some Republicans Are Racist"
http://news.yahoo.com/yes-republican...-politics.html
There are several articles that I have read today that are "thread-worthy", and this is only one of them.
Please read the article before commenting, if you even want to comment.
FYI, YES I believe the author raises some valid points.

Ah, yes, the Daily Beast. Source of non-biased, non-partisan news. HA!
What a load of tripe. Seriously.
So because the comment section of internet articles have apparent racist posts from some idiots, the Republican party is racist. How stupid.
First, what the daily beast didn't do here is identify the difference between what Steve Israel said and what Holder claimed last week and Pelosi recently claimed.
Holder claimed his treatment at last weeks hearing was because of his skin color. Wrong, his treatment was due to his being under contempt order and refusing to do his job. Period.
Pelosi claimed Republicans don't want immigration reform due to racism, but conveniently forgets that Bush, McCain and others have pushed for reform for years. It's not racism keeping reform from happening, it's Democrats refusal to allow enforcement of existing laws be done before opening more of the border.
This article addresses internet comments, as though the morons making these posts are Republican leaders.
Here's one for the daily beast: Democrats hate women, because left leaning comedians and bloggers constantly resort to vile, foul language when talking about Republican women.

Obviously desperate to hang on to the Senate, they push the race card because they have nothing left. The country doesn't like Obamacare, our foreign policy is in disarray starting with Russia and moving to Iran, Syria and with the Israeli-Palestinian conflict.
Racism might work, 'cause nothing else is.

I am sure you are right, but this article isn't about that. In fact, your point is used by most of the good people like us, who are registered Republican and aren't racist.
Still, I have read the articles and the comments and the author of this article has a point.
You have no idea how many articles I've read where the comments are just so full of nothing less than race-oriented hatred. Freedom includes free speech, but you really need to read the stuff I've read and you might get an idea of what I'm talking about.
WHY WON'T THE REPUBLICAN PARTY ADDRESS THE RACIST ATTITUDES in their party?

This is not about the Democrats using "racism" as a political banner.
This is about the Republican Party's serious problem with the racists within their party.

The author of this article blames the Republican leadership for not addressing the racists within the Republican Party.
The GOP has control of the House and has had control for quite sometime-- why not address Immigration Reform? Why not come up with SOMETHING?
Also, I have already brought up and documented the racial overtones or even blatant racism spewing from various elected republican officials since BHO has been President. Do I need to do so again?
The point of the article is that the Republican Party Leadership openly courts racist people.
The most recent example of this is Ted Nugent speaking for that knucklehead running for State office in Texas. The candidate who Nugent spoke for never openly rebuked Nugent and never sought to separate himself from his comments.

Why bring more attention to these idiots? They represent a very small minority of the base. Why in the world would you want to address probably less than 5% of the base who are racist?
I love how one-sided you are. You blindly ignore the bigots in the Democrat Party while screaming about a few morons on message boards in the Republican Party.
Why won't the Democrat Party address the bigots in its party? These aren't just comment board trolls, either. These are comedians, MSNBC "journalists" and others who spew hatred of women and Christians.
