Anyone Here Know Anything About The HOSTS File?

I downloaded the MVPS HOSTS file, and...its not blocking anything.

The HOST file can be used to block individual IP's or at least reroute a specific URL to one different then your ISP's DNS server would send it. But using it as a web filter is NOT that effective simply because the internet is BIG with billions of web addresses.
