can someone explain the difference between living in communion with the hs and salvation by works? is there a difference between communion with the hs and holiness standards? can u be in communion with the hs and not follow standards?

Yes...spending quality time with the Lord. Being intimate with Christ and communing with him daily...your life will become RADICALLY be different.
