In the AFF forum header, why would you wish me a Merry “LITTLE” Christmas? Why wouldn’t you have wished a Merry “GRANDEUR” Christmas?
Why do you want my Christmas to be “little?” And What’s up with you “wishing” me a Merry Christmas? Are you superstitious too besides being “Apostolic?” I mean, do you have a genie in a lamp somewhere granting you wishes? And if you do, why wouldn’t you utilize one of three wishes to wish us a Merry “Grandeur” Christmas? Why wouldn’t you utilize a wish to its fullest potential? Are you selfish or were you trying to curse us with a “little” Christmas? I’m insulted! I"ve crossed out "little" below! Enjoy!
Have yourself a honk'in humongous Christmas Holiday!! Please enjoy the enclosed check!

Articles on such subjects as "The New Birth," will be accepted, whether they teach that the new birth takes place before baptism in water and Spirit, or that the new birth consists of baptism of water and Spirit. - THE PENTECOSTAL HERALD Dec. 1945

The true meaning of Christmas is to give and expect nothing in return.
true love is given freely even if they arrest you and crucify you after a beating and whipping.
Are you saved?

Does God expect nothing in return?

I guess you are not a fan of Judy Garland Christmas classics, or Frank Sinatra. "Have yourself a Merry little Christmas" is a beautiful classic song. Some of us like it Mr Grinch. (:
Much better! You should take over as forum header greeter!
You misunderstood. Each members' heading reads differently. I am very pleased with mine.

JL, Admin is always walking that fine line trying to please all and not offend any. In that spirit we wanted to wish everybody a Merry Christmas while at the same time being sensitive to those who do not believe in or celebrate Christmas.
Wishing eveyrbody a "little" Merry Christmas seemed like a good compromise. Those that celebrate Christmas would be addressed while a minimum of offense to those that do not celebrate it would be generated.

"We did not wear uniforms. The lady workers dressed in the current fashions of the day, ...silks...satins...jewels or whatever they happened to possess. They were very smartly turned out, so that they made an impressive appearance on the streets where a large part of our work was conducted in the early years.
"It was not until long after, when former Holiness preachers had become part of us, that strict plainness of dress began to be taught.
"Although Entire Sanctification was preached at the beginning of the Movement, it was from a Wesleyan viewpoint, and had in it very little of the later Holiness Movement characteristics. Nothing was ever said about apparel, for everyone was so taken up with the Lord that mode of dress seemingly never occurred to any of us."
