Have you checked this out?? I think he had a lot of regrets and found a place of repentance before he died.

It is my understanding that Johnny Cash rededicated his life to the Lord and was drug free for quite a few years. He fought his addictions and lived victoriously on a day to day basis.

That's great! The song is his rendition of something put out by NIN, an American industrial rock band. (do yourself a favor, do not look up the work of NIN)
Did you watch the video? Look into the eyes of June Carter Cash. It takes a very strong woman to deal with the lifestyle that Johnny once led.

This video made me sad.

I think it's a powerful video. It's good to make amends before you die.

Unfortunetely even after JC has supposedly conquored his demons and was seen at Billy Graham crusades, etc he was still doing drugs and alchol quite heavily.

That is common knowledge here in Nashville and I have met a guy whose father was in his band. The guy I met remembers seeing with his own eyes JC doing drugs and drinking heavily when he was supposedly straight

Now I don't know about his last few years as his health failed and he was an elderly man. Hopefully he really did make a change. At least once a year it seemed he was hospitalized here in Nashville and near death starting when I moved here in 1999. For that reason it was actually quite a shock when he really did die.

Yeah, that's a good song and JC really put his heart into singing that one. I don't know about him repenting though. Haven't heard anything regarding that.
