Something God Has Done For You This Week!
I want to give honor and praise to God for allowing my efforts to help a service member pay off!
God also allowed me to speak with my 93 year old Grandmother in West Virginia this week! She's a spry young lady who still shoots her gun in the woods on occasion.
I want to thank God for Jesus Christ. He's the source of inspiration and true life for so many different people! Seeing others encouraged by Jesus and His Gospel encourages me! I witnessed that this week while watching Ernie Haase & Co. sing on TBN.
God is ALWAYS protecting the people around me when I drive-- if only they realized how God is at work in their lives and they'd be grateful too!
He has allowed me to establish my internet based business this week. I want to thank Him for that! HALLELUJAH JESUS!
He allowed an Assembly of God brother to encourage my low heart about an hour ago. He knows how to reach us, who to send to us-- I thank Him in advance for the days He will use me in that way for another person low in heart.
I want to thank God for allowing me to start this thread-- instead of allowing me to sink in cynicism and sadness tonight!
I am reminded of a song I heard in Newport, NC a long, long time ago:
"I have a God who with His angels watches over me.
I have a God who keeps my enemies beneath my feet.
My God is there when I am sick and when I'm feeling well.
I have a God, I have a God and my God doesn't fail."
There are verses, but I don't remember those.
I thank God for the past! He has showed Himself strong in my life on many different occasions.
I thank God for today-- I don't feel Him so strong, but I have His Word.
I thank God for the future. With Him, I know my future is bright! I thought I knew Him before. I will know Him in such a deeper way in the future! Our relationship will be stronger than I've ever known it to be!
I thank God because I know He loves me!
Thank You Jesus!

Hey, Kewl thread!
I thank God my fractured vertebrae is not worse and the doctor increased my weight lifting limit this week. It means a great deal to me to be able to do at least some work on my own.

Re: Something God Has Done For You This Week!
Wonderful subject.
God has done much for my family and I the last several weeks. My husband and I both lost jobs this summer, but God has supplied a job for my husband, allbeit it is commission, but God will and is suppling our needs.
We had to go to a COBRA for health insurance to the tune of over 1100.00 a month...ouch! But, with this new job our premiums have dropped by over half.
God is faithful.

Yes. God is faithful.
When we pass through the water, He said He'd be with us. So we should not be afraid. God will take care of us!

Re: Something God Has Done For You This Week!
Well, let's just talk about today.
I woke up in my right mind and in reasonable good health for a 72 year old.
I had a roof over my head that does not leak.
The roof is only a couple of years old and He provided an inheritance which was enough to pay for it when I needed it.
My house is paid off and has been for several years.
The heat was working so the house was not cold.
The electricity was working so there were lights on.
There was food in the refrigerator and in the kitchen.
The refrigerator and toaster work.
There was hot water for a shower.
I have a wife who has loved me for over 50 years and she is in good health after cancer surgery and 9 days in the hospital a little over a year ago.
I drove to Saturday outreach in a truck that is 4 years old, the payments are current, and it will be paid off in about a year or two and it only has 34,000 miles on it. In our garage is a 2000 Honda Odyssey van which has only 96,000 miles on it, was paid for10 years when we bought it new, and it runs well.
I have a good church, good pastor, good good people there.
Some of us were able to go to two motels and witness to transients who live there.
When I came home my wife had lunch prepared for me. Some good great northern beans cooked with pork chops in them with chopped onions to put in them and with corn bread to go with them.
I was able to go to the grocery store and pay for almost $200 dollars worth of stuff.
I was out on the road a couple of times today with an 18 mile round trip to church and about a 5 mile round trip to the store and did not have an accident or car trouble.
We have 8 days to go until payday and we still have a little money in the checking account and some of it may last until the next pension check is deposited on November 1st.
I have a fairly good computer that I am doing this on right now.
I'm saved and have God's peace.
A little later I will spend some time in God's Word and prayer and when I lie down for the night I will lie down with peace of mind and will not fear some military police breaking in and dragging me off to jail.
I have much to thank God for today.

Re: Something God Has Done For You This Week!
Praise the Lord, thankful for our bills this morning, and the money to pay them. It means Mike has a good job, we have shelter, food, cars, and clothes. So many don't have that, Lord make us appreciative for our bills, if we have money to pay them. For those that don't I pray you provide jobs and help. In Jesus name, Amen!!!!
I posted this on my Facebook page Friday morning.

Re: Something God Has Done For You This Week!
Thankful that my Apostolic wife is still with me, the incorrigible sinner, hopefully keeping me sanctified as Paul wrote in I Corinthians 7, and that I wasn't banned from the forum for my recent stupid comments. Also thankful for pretty much everything Sam had to say up there, and more.
