Fix for the Economy!

I'm sure this email will be circulating around, but I thought it was a GREAT idea!!!!

This is from an article in the St. Petersburg Times Newspaper on Sunday.

The Business Section asked readers for ideas on "How Would You Fix the
Economy?"

I think this guy nailed it!

Dear Mr. President,

Please find below my suggestion for fixing America 's economy. Instead of giving billions of dollars to companies that will squander the money on lavish parties and unearned bonuses, use the following plan.
You can call it the Patriotic Retirement Plan:

There are about 40 million people over 50 in the work force. - Pay them
$1 million apiece severance for early retirement with the following Stipulations:

1) They MUST retire. Forty million job openings - Unemployment fixed.

2) They MUST buy a new American CAR. Forty million cars ordered - Auto
Industry fixed.

3) They MUST either buy a house or pay off their mortgage - Housing
Crisis fixed.

It can't get any easier than that!

P.S. If more money is needed, have all members in Congress and their
Constituents pay their taxes...

LOL

They could even toss in healthcare benefit packages for the retirees and still be saving money.

Ah, excuse me - that already happens. Take all those people on welfare and let them fill the jobs of the ones that are vacated by the shift of all those retirees (first, promote within).

This is for retirees - ya know 50 or older!

Re: Fix for the Economy!

Sounds workable.

But that wouldn't pipe more money into the pockets of the uber-rich.

So... it's a no go.

Re: Fix for the Economy!

this could work....but we(the U.S.A.) don't have $40mill....or $40,000....or $40....we have no money. printing more....just devalues our credit and increases the debt load.

time to blow it all up and start over.

Yep... the dollar has had it's run and is now of nearly no value whatsover.

It is time for the dollar to collapse.

Re: Fix for the Economy!

40,000,000x 1,000,000=40,000,000,000,000

errr that would cost 40 trillion dollars...

by the way, by the time all baby boomers have retired the Social Security system and Medicare will be in the hole about 50 Trillion dollars....

do you people realize just how much trouble we are actually in about right now?
