The Church is Changing, and I am Glad!

The church is changing, and I am glad!

This is my daily prayer. It is what I breathe.

"Jesus, please strip every spirit of arrogance, domination and superiority from us. Make us more like You.

Give us Your vision, Your burden for the world, Your willingness to reach.

Teach me to love the family of God, the family of man and life itself.

Breathe something new in me.

I am hungry for You.

I am willing to give You anything and everything.

Draw me closer."

Just kidding man. Although it does sound a lot like the current vertical worship music (which I like)

"God, I want to know you better" has been my daily prayer for months now. It really is my heart's cry.

"We did not wear uniforms. The lady workers dressed in the current fashions of the day, ...silks...satins...jewels or whatever they happened to possess. They were very smartly turned out, so that they made an impressive appearance on the streets where a large part of our work was conducted in the early years.

"It was not until long after, when former Holiness preachers had become part of us, that strict plainness of dress began to be taught.

"Although Entire Sanctification was preached at the beginning of the Movement, it was from a Wesleyan viewpoint, and had in it very little of the later Holiness Movement characteristics. Nothing was ever said about apparel, for everyone was so taken up with the Lord that mode of dress seemingly never occurred to any of us."

I will only say that I am in the best spiritual condition of my life. I have been crying this afternoon, just thinking of the long journey I've been on over the past few years.

It's been tough, but God has been leading me all the way.

I love Jesus!

Behold, thou desirest truth in the inward parts: and in the hidden part thou shalt make me to know wisdom. Purge me with hyssop, and I shall be clean: wash me, and I shall be whiter than snow.

So where does your struggle being referred to Apostolic or Pentecostal fit into this equation?
