I love kids.
Mine especially..but you know. lol
My kids have holiday parties this week. They have a book exchange at their parties.
We have wrapping paper someone gave me, but no tape. No glue. Nothing.
My daughter (9 years old) was freaking out that we would not be able to wrap the book (that she only has because her teacher gave her one to exchange).
Little did she realize....
Mommy is amazing.
We ripped an old dress shirt into wide ribbon and tied the thing closed. It looks FANTASTIC and she's absolutely thrilled. lol The little boys (7 and 4) keep trying to get me to wrap things so they can see me tear the shirt again.
It cracks me up how something so simple can astound and amaze them. I love kids.

I like the fact that they are so innocent. My 9 year would have thought it was great...I'd have had to work hard to get my 13 year old to think so. I absolutely love how trusting they are. (It doesn't hurt that they are sometimes easy to impress...... )

Re: I love kids.
Too cute!!!!!! LOL!
I was walking through the sanctuary Sunday and listening to my two children on the platform practicing for the service. I don't think anything has ever made me feel happier.
God is good!!!!

Re: I love kids.
Another kid thing.
My 10 year old made a card for me in school this last week.
I read it this morning and laughed out loud!
Quote:
To mom,
I love you more than anything in the world, but sometimes you can be a paining in the back end.
Thanks for everything you gave me.
Sincerely
Joshua

I'm a paining in the back end. I think that one's gonna live on as a family joke for a long, long time.
(he and I have had some rough spots the last while....this makes me laugh so hard after all the fussing we've done back and forth....at least he still loves me..lol)
