Pew Research found that Fox news was the most balanced outlet covering the election while MSNBC was the least.
Obama received Negative coverage from MSNBC 14% of the time and Positive coverage 43% of the time.
On Fox Obama received negative coverage 40% of the time and positive coverage 25% of the time.
While it looks like Fox was biased against Obama by those numbers consider that McCain received the exact same negative coverage at 40% while only received positive coverage 22% (less than the number for Obama) On balance Fox's coverage of both candidates was about equal with a slight nudge in positive coverage to Obama.
At the same time, MSNBC went negative in McCain 73% of the time with only 10% positive. That is a stark contrast in their coverage between the two candidates. Clearly there was no attempt to be balanced.
CNN was only slightly better than MSNBC While Obama received 39% negative coverage and 36% positive, McCain got 61% negative coverage and only 13% positive. Clearly CNN didn't even attempt to be balanced.
on balance the Press as a whole was also slanted heavily towards Obama. His negatives were 29% and 36% positive while McCain received 57% negative and only 14% positive.
Clearly Fox News was the only outlet with any attempt at balance. Yet liberals call it Faux News and talk about how conservative it is.
The facts prove otherwise. Fox looks conservative because it seems to be the only news outlet that isn't slanting coverage one way or the other.
