Interesting findings about Election coverage

Pew Research found that Fox news was the most balanced outlet covering the election while MSNBC was the least.

Obama received Negative coverage from MSNBC 14% of the time and Positive coverage 43% of the time.
On Fox Obama received negative coverage 40% of the time and positive coverage 25% of the time.
While it looks like Fox was biased against Obama by those numbers consider that McCain received the exact same negative coverage at 40% while only received positive coverage 22% (less than the number for Obama) On balance Fox's coverage of both candidates was about equal with a slight nudge in positive coverage to Obama.

At the same time, MSNBC went negative in McCain 73% of the time with only 10% positive. That is a stark contrast in their coverage between the two candidates. Clearly there was no attempt to be balanced.

CNN was only slightly better than MSNBC While Obama received 39% negative coverage and 36% positive, McCain got 61% negative coverage and only 13% positive. Clearly CNN didn't even attempt to be balanced.

on balance the Press as a whole was also slanted heavily towards Obama. His negatives were 29% and 36% positive while McCain received 57% negative and only 14% positive.

Clearly Fox News was the only outlet with any attempt at balance. Yet liberals call it Faux News and talk about how conservative it is.

The facts prove otherwise. Fox looks conservative because it seems to be the only news outlet that isn't slanting coverage one way or the other.

Re: Interesting findings about Election coverage

That's because liberals don't want any negative thrown their way. Fox is the first to go against the grain.

That's why it's hard to be excited about this election. Tremendous money coming from - wherever - and MSM in the tank for it. I will never be happy with this - at all! I cannot even respect it.

Even though Democrats came close to a filibuster they will be handicapped with this financial crises we are in. As the economy falls apart around him, he will find himself unable to raise taxes and unable to go forward with his big plans for the government as any takeover will also be symied by the economy. At least we have this consolation.

That's my negative and positive input for today!

Yes, the extant consolations aren't all that consoling:
- The economy might be so bad that he can't socialize medicine.
- He might be so busy dealing with international crises that he can't focus on implementingh his Marxist policy goals.

Unfortunately, he is still beholden to the Chicago political machine, and the worthless fourth estate, no longer interested in serving the people or finding the truth, will refuse to question or criticize him.

So, when you find yourself hoping for chaos or economic despair to impede political initiatives, you know it is time to turn off the politics and get back to the Great Commission.

We can easily see that tough times are ahead, and people will need deliverance. We can lead them to Jesus, the source of deliverance from all sorts of things.
