Military Supports Mccain 68%-23% Over Obama

According to Fox News this am, a recent poll among military members overwhelmingly supports John McCain for president: 68 to 23% with 9% undecided.

LISTEN TO THE VOICE OF OUR FIGHTING MEN AND WOMEN!!!

THEY WANT MAC TO BE THEIR COMMANDER IN CHIEF!

Barney Frank recently stated that Congress was prepared to ask a President Obama for a 25% cut in defense spending. An Obama presidency like most recent Democrat presidencies will have an eroding affect on our Armed Forces. Democrat presidents and legislatures in recent times trend towards underfunding our military primarily because of a common aversion and loathing of things military.

Not a good time to be cutting back on the troops.

Somehow, I don't think we will see a drastic cut in military funding.

We will see a drastic drop in Iraq spending.

Frank envisions post-election stimulus from Democrats
Standard-Times senior correspondent

In a meeting with the editorial board of The Standard-Times, Rep. Frank, D-Mass., also called for a 25 percent cut in military spending, saying the Pentagon has to start choosing from its many weapons programs, and that upper-income taxpayers are going to see an increase in what they are asked to pay.

The military cuts also mean getting out of Iraq sooner, he said.

"The people of Iraq want us out, and we want to stay over their objection," he said. "It's extraordinary." The Maliki government in Iraq "can't sell (the withdrawal deal with the U.S.) because it sounds like we're going to stay too long."

Looks like it's in the plans.

Keep drinking the Kool Aid 1399. I guess the people who are actually in the military know less about what's best for them than Obama, Biden, Frank, Pelosi, and Reid. I guess people who are actually fighting on the front lines just don't get it like these paragons of military know how do.

Prediction: if BO gets elected, we will pull out of Iraq and Afghanistan, he won't get Bin Laden, and we will get attacked again right here on our soil within the first four years. But at least we will have saved a ton of money on military spending and able to spend the savings on expanded sex education, increased funding for spotted owl habitat and clean needle programs for drug addicts.

Deacon, as usual, so much of this depends on who you choose as your source. I would never expect a Fox News poll to determine that the military or really any respected group supports Obama.

Just to illustrate this point, here is a video from a decidedly different source. I do believe that the info is verifiable though.

What I was thinking about was pay, allowances, benefits for military members.

As a Military man myself, I don't see ANYONE making any cuts to the military when it comes to pay, allowances, and benefits.

We will not completely leave Iraq-- no matter who gets elected. America never makes a bad investment.

GWB's Administration is rumored to be trying to broker a deal with the Taliban-- clearly not the way Sen. Obama has said the war in Afghanistan should be handled.

He has consistently called for more resources to fight and defeat the Taliban and to find bin laden.
