laptop battery

Today a sweet little preacher got in contact with me and ask would I ask my American friends if someone could get him a battery for a laptop that I gave him for their work in south Brazil and Paraguay. It is a COMPAQ PRESARIO 2100.
If anyone could help him he would deeply appreciate it for a battery cost over 300 dollars in Brazil and he is very, very poor. Thanks...Sister Alvear

I wish I could help but if anyone can, they are selling brand new on Ebay for about $40.00. A good seller will even send it to Brazil for you so you aren't paying for shipping twice.

There are several listed but before buying, ask them if they wouldn't mind shipping it to Brazil and how much would it cost. Sometimes if you tell them you are sending it to a missionary, they will be less likely to try and rip you off or not be willing to do it at all.

I need a shipping address. I am now reading your first post more sloooooowly and seeing that the issue of a Brazil shipment is an unknown pertaining to the link you have supplied.

Sis Alvear has a Louisiana PO BOx here in the US and a Brazilian address as well. If this was hurried, she may be able to take the battery back with her.

A few of us shipped her some ink and it took about 2 weeks as I recall.
