Why is it So Hard for God to do Miracles?
I believe God can do anything.
However, I often wonder why He doesn't do something.
Have you ever noticed how we make excuses for God?
We say things like, "well, there just wasn't enough faith in the room," or "it just wasn't God's will for that little child to be healed of cancer," or "just be patient, God will come through - just in time!"
I do not pretend to understand God, or the way He works. I don't know why He heals some and doesn't heal others.
But I do know this much.
Sometimes there is enough faith in the room and healing still doesn't take place.
Sometimes God doesn't "come through" like we think He should and great misery falls on those of us who absolutely, incorrectly, TRUSTED that the outcome would be positive.
What then?
Why is it so hard for God to do miracles?
It is not a question of ability. So, what then?

John Bevere says it's because we don't honor God and our authorities in America like they do in other countries. He has a whole teaching on it in "Honor's Reward", but I don't remember the entire thing.

Millions of little children die in Africa each year. Most of them from AIDS and hunger. This issue is not confined to North America.

But Christians in Africa see many many more healings and miracles than they do here - they have no one else to rely on but God, so they just believe Him.

Re: Why is it So Hard for God to do Miracles?
I asked one time why God wouldn't do a burning bush type of thing for me... I was told, "Who do you think you are?"
It just seemed to go with the whole, "You are special and he loves you just as much as He loves anyone else" thing.
Due to the literally thousands of different opinions of what the Bible says, I don't see any easy answers, and believe that God should be capable of sending me a truly infallible instruction book that cannot be misinterpreted, rather than a translation of a copy of a copy of a copy(etc.) of a bunch of compiled letters that some people decided should be defined as the Bible 300 years after Christ's time.

Okay, so let's get really focused here.
What if there is one little five year old girl in Africa who, having lost both parents to AIDS, is orphaned and stricken with the disease herself. What if she trusts in Jesus with all of her heart and asks Him to heal her over and over and over - to no avail.
Why?
Why doesn't God heal her?

What happens when all of our special healing "formulas" fail us?
You know, like Hebrews 11:1. "Now faith is the substance of things hoped for." Like the excerpt from Isaiah 53 "with His stripes we are healed."
Is the onus for our disease, financial lack and all other earthly ailments on us?
Is it our fault that God is unresponsive to our dire needs?

Hmm, maybe I asked the wrong question?

Re: Why is it So Hard for God to do Miracles?
I preached a message concerning this very subject last Sunday. It's a little lengthy, but I dealt strictly with the fact that sometimes, God does NOT come through in the way or the time that we perceive that He should. Sometimes it seems that we plead and pray and BELIEVE with all of our being and still... NOTHING! Even then, God is still Faithful!
