Nothing about BOTT on here???

Boy, this forum has changed over the past couple of years. We used to always have at least one roving reporter at these functions.

Re: Nothing about BOTT on here???

Because of the Times conference at Alexandria, LA (Manguns).

Re: Nothing about BOTT on here???

Is BOTT, or for that matter any conference, what it was ten years ago?

Re: Nothing about BOTT on here???

I think the main problem is that POA chooses not to stream BOTT live to the public. I am assuming to increase DVD sales ($150 per set).

So unless you are a minister who can actually travel to Alexandria La. or are at a church streaming it you are not getting to hear / watch it.

"We did not wear uniforms. The lady workers dressed in the current fashions of the day, ...silks...satins...jewels or whatever they happened to possess. They were very smartly turned out, so that they made an impressive appearance on the streets where a large part of our work was conducted in the early years.

"It was not until long after, when former Holiness preachers had become part of us, that strict plainness of dress began to be taught.

"Although Entire Sanctification was preached at the beginning of the Movement, it was from a Wesleyan viewpoint, and had in it very little of the later Holiness Movement characteristics. Nothing was ever said about apparel, for everyone was so taken up with the Lord that mode of dress seemingly never occurred to any of us."

Re: Nothing about BOTT on here???

I was there! It was really great, Bro. Woodward and Bro. Shock were the most influential messages to me. DEEEP. Oh and to previous poster, BOTT has consistently impressed me, this is my 4th attendance in 5 years. Everyone is on point, and sooo deep. I don't know why they wouldn't stream them, but I'm sure they have a good reason. In fact, I believe it's okay with them if you duplicate some of their BOTT materials for your own church, as long as you don't sell them.

Also, a great message by the ALJC Supt, Bro. Martin.

Hats off to the POA and everyone who was there.

Re: Nothing about BOTT on here???

BOTT was great again this year. Vesta keeps on with the same message that Jesus preached which I never get tired of hearing. Bro Shock, Martin, Arnold were good. In fact all the messages were good. The only thing not good about this week was coming back to 7 degrees and snow to shovel.

Re: Nothing about BOTT on here???

BOTT 2012 was awesome. It was my first trip in a long time. The focus was on soul winning and a burden for the lost. No political rah, rah, but really good meaty messages with the focus on Christ. Brother David Bernard gave a really powerful word on the opening night. Anthony Mangun followed and there was a great travail at the close of the first night's service. The entire conference followed on this note. Brother Martin (Gen Supt of ALJC) also gave a powerful word on Wed night. It was all good!
