Re: Changing To Preterism from Rapture Doctrine

Oh, another preterist argument with Jesus on judgement day.......

Revelation 20King James Version (KJV)

20 And I saw an angel come down from heaven, having the key of the bottomless pit and a great chain in his hand.

2 And he laid hold on the dragon, that old serpent, which is the Devil, and Satan, and bound him a thousand years,

3 And cast him into the bottomless pit, and shut him up, and set a seal upon him, that he should deceive the nations no more, till the thousand years should be fulfilled: and after that he must be loosed a little season.

4 And I saw thrones, and they sat upon them, and judgment was given unto them: and I saw the souls of them that were beheaded for the witness of Jesus, and for the word of God, and which had not worshipped the beast, neither his image, neither had received his mark upon their foreheads, or in their hands; and they lived and reigned with Christ a thousand years.

5 But the rest of the dead lived not again until the thousand years were finished. This is the first resurrection.

6 Blessed and holy is he that hath part in the first resurrection: on such the second death hath no power, but they shall be priests of God and of Christ, and shall reign with him a thousand years.

Preterists...."Lord, you told me that there will not be a 1000 year reign.".

Re: Changing To Preterism from Rapture Doctrine

Well, if you have eliminated the concept of a Tree of Life, that Jesus promised us, then I will let you take that up with Him at your judgement day....

7 He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith unto the churches; To him that overcometh will I give to eat of the tree of life, which is in the midst of the paradise of God.

I think that Jesus will win the argument.

Preterists will argue with the Lord, saying...."Lord, we have metaphorized in your name."

We re-explained the book of Revelation for you, Lord!

We told folks that there is no Tree of Life like you told us to do.

We told folks that there is no New Jerusalem City like you told us to do.

We told folks that you did not physically appear to John as it says, and it was only a vision like you told us to do.

We told folks that there is no River of Life in Heaven like you told us to do.

We re-interpreted the entire book of Revelation like you told us to do.

We told folks that the Temple(heaven) and Jews(earth) are passed away like you told us to do......................

Preterists really think that they will get praised by God on judgement day for this nonsense they teach?

Not a chance!

You just said our names were blotted out and that you are saved.
So since you can't find any scripture which blots out names and then places them back in, I guess you are done here. Unless you want to roll around in our blood, and feel good about yourself while you thank God you are not like other men.

It is much easier to recant preterism, and seek mercy, than wonder if your reinventing of the Book of Revelations' meanings will fly...pray hard and recant.

Sean has blown himself up in every thread we have posted in with him. He is like an envious angry child who will not only complain about losing the board game. But, flip the entire board over on to those he is losing the game.
I just realized what/who Sean reminds me of. The Pharisee of Christ day, everyone was wrong except them, even Christ. And Christ when he got tired of dealing with them dealt with them in LOL metaphorical terms, by teaching in parables.
