You want to start it or shall I?
The Bible says people won't be married in Heaven, so no need for a poll.

There is a need for a poll because of that this person said Rico. I want to test what HE said, not what the bible says. We all know what the bible says, which makes what this person says just absurd.

No there should be no real need for a poll perhaps...as what I said was really rhetorcal.

But if the person that said what they said and others that believe such an asinine statement don't see how absurd that is, then perhaps we DO need a poll

So, I would ask again, out of all the people that wear wedding rings, is what was said true? Do you buy into some "myth" that your wedding is eternal?

And does the author want to start a poll to see if what they said was true?

You mean Angels did not get women in trouble back in the days before the flood and cause giant men to walk the earth? There goes the Nephillim theory.
Shot down by the word of God and good common sense to know that women are flesh and Angels are spirit.

I'm confused. What part of what he posted is asinine? I've heard the "ring is round to symbalize eternal love" thing before and he seemed to be debunking that myth.

He is debunking that myth?

Quote:
The wedding ring myth propagates the fictious "marriage is an eternal circle of love".

Marriage is NOT eternal (unless you are a Mormon ) the marriage vows are broken at the death of one partner.
That does not sound like debunking. It sounds like someone is trying to make an argument that if you wear a wedding ring, because of the myth tied to wedding rings, you will propagate this ficticious idea.

I could be wrong. But my point is I doubt very many here wearing wedding rings honestly believe marriage is an eternal circle of Love and so they are NOT propagating this nor is that why they wear a wedding ring.

Maybe I misunderstood the context in which he was making that post.

it has to do with being eternally married as some think they are. That theory and I would post the link to what the real eternal ring of love originates from
but its a site that has some graphics that are not a good witness. Here is a thought though and you can google it...

Matthew 22:30 (KJV) 30 For in the resurrection they neither marry, nor are given in marriage, but are as the angels of God in heaven.

Mark 12:25 (KJV) 25 For when they shall rise from the dead, they neither marry, nor are given in marriage; but are as the angels which are in heaven.

I don't want to argue. It's not a matter of salvation either way now is it?
