Iowa State Senator Jerry Behn Endorses Ted Cruz for President
“Ted Cruz is the proven and consistent Conservative we need in order to turn this country around,” Behn said. “Americans are looking for a leader that will stand for conservative principles, fight the Washington Cartel, and restore the power back to the people. Ted Cruz is that leader.”
“Jerry is dedicated to God and country, family and farming,” said Cruz. “He stands for the principles that we all share, principles that this country was founded on. With Jerry’s leadership it will help unite courageous Conservative across Iowa to reignite the promise of America. I am thrilled to have his support.”

Re: Sen. Ted Cruz Makes It Official
HOW TED CRUZ BECAME TED CRUZ
In 2008, in the high-profile Supreme Court gun-rights case called District of Columbia v. Heller, a brief was filed from the eighth floor of the Price Daniel Sr. State Office Building in Austin, Texas, specifically from the corner office of the man who was then the state’s solicitor general, Ted Cruz.

Re: Sen. Ted Cruz Makes It Official
NO NO NO: Ted Cruz is NOT flip-flopping on ethanol
Ted Cruz’s critics are doing everything they can to try and hurt him among voters in Iowa, even if it means accusing him of flip-flopping when that’s absolutely not the case.

Cruz wants to phase out RFS, that's nothing new. Phasing out is the responsible way to end the mandate

Re: Sen. Ted Cruz Makes It Official
Trump continues lying about Ted Cruz, saying he has dual passport.
Quote:
Trump Slaps Cruz with a Red Herring
Donald Trump, ever the master manipulator of the media, has conjured the red herring of birtherism to raise doubt in the minds of Iowans about now-chief contender Sen. Ted Cruz.

Re: Sen. Ted Cruz Makes It Official
We have some busy weeks ahead of us putting out untruthful fired aimed at Ted Cruz.
As I have done with this thread, I will keep you informed on these issues.
Rubio, et al, are claiming that Ted Cruz has flip-flopped on this issue, but he is saying the same thing he has always said.
Phasing out a mandate is the way to go.
Quote:
Cruz doubles down on phasing out ethanol mandate
“My view on energy is simple: We should pursue an 'all of the above' policy,” he wrote. “We should embrace all of the energy resources with which God has blessed America: oil and gas, coal, nuclear, wind, solar, and biofuels and ethanol. But Washington shouldn’t be picking winners and losers.”
Cruz has previously said he would look to end the mandate by 2022, establishing a five-year phase-out during his first year in office.

Here is his bill, which he co-sponsored with Rep. Bridenstine. You can click on the link at the bottom to read the actual bill.

smh....
Rand Paul talking about Ted Cruz's eligibility in 2013: "You won't find me questioning his eligibility. I decided a long time ago I wouldn't be a birther. I'm not a birther for Democrats. I'm not a birther for Republicans. I'm staying out of that."
Rand Paul today: "You know, I think without question he is qualified and would make the cut to be prime minister of Canada, absolutely without question, he is qualified and he meets the qualifications,"
"You know, I'm not an expert on the natural-born clause in the Constitution and people have various opinions," said Paul. "Some people believe it means you need to be born here, some people think it means you can be born in another country as long as your parents are citizens."
"And we've had some previous cases of it, but I don't think we've ever gone through the court system for the Supreme Court to decide one way or another," he continued. "It is interesting, and I think sometimes people point out that it's a double standard, in the sense that people went out, hot and heavy, including Donald Trump you know, about President Obama when there was really nothing more than conjecture that he wasn't born in the country. And yet, there hasn't been really the same outrage at all for some one who actually is born in another country."
Whatever, Rand. Your daddy was a better candidate than you.
