Are you sure this is speaking of giving to the ministry?...or the SAINTS?
All scripture is subject to interpretation, but I think it is both. Minister are saints are they not. I think that in this weather of 45 degrees we had Sunday morning the saints at our church felt they got the benefit from the heat running. I think they got the benefit of their children being fed and taught. I hope they felt benefited by the word of God the preacher preached.

I gave 300 dollars to the church that year. You would have thought I had backslid or something. The pastor knew of my situation and yet I was still ridiculed for "getting behind" on my tithing.

Do any of you pro tithe folks want to to step up to the plate and say I was stealing from God? Nobody offered to pay my bills or feed my family. If it had not been for some TRINITARIAN Pentecostals who heard of our plight, we would not have had a Christmas that year.

Brother, I saw before my very eyes a fellow minister(a perfect tither and the biggest giver in the church) stand up and shove Mal 3 down the churches throat weekly for 2 years...his business was netting him at least 200K a year...he took up the offering with rigor(he was a volunteer in ministry)...

His business tanked and they even sold every stick of furniture at a garage sale(his wife in tears). They ended up in a church basement in Oklahoma. This happened within the last 4 years.

Do you think I would even dare to tell the saints to tithe after seeing that? Not on your life.

Is there any thing wrong with that? I am a ROYAL PRIEST ya know.

Or should it be to someone elses' work of God?
I would think you should give outside of yourself. If someone chose to invest their money into some outside work of God I wouldn't oppose them. For instance they wanted to order bibles to hand out to the community or Bible study materials and invest in winning souls. I would wonder why is it they feel they can't partner with a local church.
