I have just found this thread and cannot believe this has been said about Bishop Jakes.

I know Bishop Jakes and his wife and I can tell you that this is not true. I have just spoken to one of his executive assistants and he reaffirmed that there is no truth in it this rumor. Rumors abound about Bishop Jakes and most high profile ministers.

My wife and I just spent 4 wonderful days with he and his lovely wife. They were hand in hand and arm in arm the entire time. He spoke to us as candid as I have ever heard a pastor speak and she did the same.

Thad - I like you - but somebody has not told the truth here. I would be happy to talk to whoever you got your information from. Bishop Jakes is my Pastor and Bishop and I do not take it lightly that this lie has been posted on here. You are much better than this!

I should have put it in a Question form- for that i apologies for(the wording). I know someone who works for a Very high profile ministy. inside information leaks out from their staff.
sorry to have offended you but i as most are saying on the forum, the devil is attacking families, marraiges, churches like never before and no ones seems to be expempt even the rich and famous

It is mighty Christian of you to apologize for posting this - I thank you for it. I preached across the street from GLOBAL DESTINY - WEEKS/BYNUMS place - last night - he had a handful - 8 cars in the parking lot and we had several hundred in ours. They are a HIGH PROFILE Ministry - but kept rumors going about everybody and his brother to cover their mess up. That is what MANY of these people do - they tell tales about others - to cover their own sins up - so You need to throw that mess out the window as I can assure you - there is NO TRUTH to this rumor about Bishop & First Lady Jakes.

I have heard rumors about some on here (I won't mention names - but HE CANNOT SPELL and will NOT use the spell checker for some strange reason) but I did not go and POST it as a fact - to tell you the truth - I dismiss most everything I hear about people. I love Bishop Jakes and don't want anyone on here to think that they are separated or divorced. It is simply not true.

I like you Thad - just don't mess with my Bishop! ;-)
