32. The use of video must strictly be limited to those areas in which motion picture cameras and projectors are traditionally permitted to be used: namely, in taking of pictures of families, friends, and church activities and the viewing of educational, religious, and inspirational films that are consistent with wholesome Christian principles. Furthermore, we strongly oppose the viewing of all worldly motion pictures and video films that are shown commercially in theaters and on television for entertainment purposes. All video receivers must be altered so that they are not able to receive television channels.

The TV resolution advocates and the anti-christ mark are of the same degree????

no, if you actually used the Bible and used it properly, I would agree wtih you...

The problem is that you can't, so you belittle people and attack them until they either quit and leave or just give up and live with your rules.... kind of like how a bunch of people are going to leave if they don't get thier way.... They are using bully tactics to try and get thier way, kinda like you are right now...

See, there is no scripture that speaks against cutting hair (at least not in the way we say it) or women wearing pants (its against cross-dressing... go wear some women's pants and then get back to me)...

and I'm not completely convinced that the typical modern Christian view of the "tribulation" is ever actually going to happen...

RC,

Some preachers actually probably reason it out that way to watch some movies that no christian should watch.

I know, I was just playing around... (although I honestly don't see anything wrong with the Terminator movies except MAYBE like 2 minutes of the first one)

Those exceptions are what get you. One needs boundaries in their life. Those boundaries need to be set in such a place where if you step over you are still safe.

no...

Did Paul set boundaries like that for the early church? ABSOLUTELY NOT!!!

Paul set the boundaries HONESTLY so that people respected them...

When you set boundaries so people can pass over them and be ok, it just tells people that they don't need to respect the boundaries, thus making the boundaries useless and meaningless...

Boundaries set by someone else are meaningless. A wise person will set their own boundaries with fear and trembling.

oh... yeah, self-boundaries are good...

but if you are setting them for yourself, why not, again, set them where you actually mean for them to be rather than where you know you can pass it?
