ummm, did I overlook a passage in the bible that says you should advertise on tv? I just thought it said Go Ye Into All the world....

it really cracks me up that people get so bent outta shape over being able to spend thousands of dollars, or even less money to advertise on tv but you cant pay a person enough to witness to their own neighbors and teach a bible study.

How many of YOUR friends and family will be saved b/c of some commercial they will see on tv? Too bad they cant be saved by your example....

things may be different in your part of the world and TV may do some good for y'all....more power to you..

but from my perspective, in this area - it would be a huge waste of time and money, honestly.

And to read all the comments and horror stories people post on here about their UPC church, or their familys UPC church - they have issues they need to resolve before they go inviting the masses in....

think maybe the issues would resolve if they had a couple seeking for the HG in the alter. Those Horror stories sound like ones coming from dry churches to me.

my whole take on the tv resolution is that its a huge waste of time and effort....

I also think that if ministers want to use it, let them use it - big hairy deal.

But I just think it's stupid. MANY churches arent experiencing church growth now, how is TV going to miraculiously change that?
