It's a pity that you would call my honest introspection that of comparing myself with others.

I have seen my failures. I confess them before a good and merciful God. I implore his forgiveness and ask for his grace and strength to become more like him. He has, but my quest is not ended.

In the end, I shall come forth like Him who is the object of my quest.
Self righteousness? Where in this thread have I made myself anything? And dont be so sad about my last post. It was not aimed at you personally. It was taken from my own forum and brought here. It was made by me several years ago. I thought it would be informative to someone here.

Men say the commands of Yeshua are so grievous they cannot consistently be obeyed.

What does the Holy Spirit say?

3: For this is the love of God, that we keep his commandments: and his commandments are not grievous. 1 John 5:3

HE says his commands are not hard. Who should we believe?

The Topic of this thread was sinless Saints? Do they exist?

Ok lets do it this way. Do YOU have a sin in your life right now? If you do NOT then you are a sinless Saint!

If you DO why have you not repented?

Now don't start the comparison of yourself from anything that I've said. That would be doing what you have correctly from scripture encouraged the rest of us to NOT do.

Neither did I take anything personally.

We must remember that the Word of God leaves us an ideal to strive toward. I expect to reach my goal in my pilgrims progress. Meanwhile, I will continue to confess my faults, even sin, knowing that the blood of Jesus daily washes me as I continue to walk in the Light.

I shall never project an image before a hopeless world that I have arrived into that which I have not, lest they begin to think of me a hypocrite, chosing to rather remain in their sinful condition than to become what I am. That wold not be a good witness to my faith in whom I have believed.

Does it take a lifetime or so to keep the Lords commands? Or is it something we are expected to do from the start of the Holy Ghost baptism?

1: Wherefore laying aside all malice, and all guile, and hypocrisies, and envies, and all evil speakings,
2: As newborn babes, desire the sincere milk of the word, that ye may grow thereby: 1 Peter 2:1-2

Peter expected NEWBORN BABES to put away the inward sins. Not just cussin, smokin, and drinkin type sins. Note the word ALL in verse1.

I suspect as long as Bible Teachers tell Saints it takes many years to do such we will continue having sin reigning in many of their lives.

When one states they "sin every day" it is an open confession that sin RULES THEM. Lord have mercy on this "Apostolic Church".
