I had to double check my movie tix a few weeks ago. The cinema was showing Surf's Up a movie about surfing penguins the same time they were showing Knocked Up, a movie about a pregnant girl. I made sure I got the correct ticket. Nothing like expecting to see prancing penguins and seeing pregnant chicks.

I'm not surprised that it's been a dud with the faith-based audience. I stated previously that I thought it was funny that Bruce Almighty was roundly criticized by faith-based reviews and yet Evan Almighty made enough progress to have a concert special on TBN called Rock the Boat that included interviews with some of the cast and others.
The reason it's a dud is because people thought it was another Bruce Almighty and didn't want to take their kids to see a movie that had a lot of sexual innuendo.
That, and it lacks the starpower and comedy from Jim Carey.

Jim Carey has enough intelligence and brilliance to leave out the sexual innuendo. He doesn't need it. He just doesn't realize it. Robin Williams is another man with a quick mind. Too bad they couldn't use their minds for something more reaching.

I think this would be number 1,222,999,873,672,958,345,853,983 movie that I have "missed" and guess what....
I'm BETTER for "missing" it.

Watching sinners play God can be a bit boring if one has seen preachers play God. Too bad I had to live it.
