One can only make assumptions if they ponder if Jesus would have worn a beard in America today. If it were His first coming, He'd be a Jew. Most likely rather orthodox, so I contend He'd wear a beard.

But beyond assumptions, we know from Scripture that Jesus wore a beard. And we know that a lot of churches wouldn't let Him on their platform.

I think Jesus would be courteous enough to seek permission from the local pastor to take the platform. However, I also think in some churches, Jesus would be flipping tables and chasing people out of the building over what it has all become.

He offended the Pharisees by going up to preach in the temple. He never asked their permission!

It is my understanding that there was a rotation of assigned rabbinical teachers, and Jesus was the one expected to teach that day.
