In all seriousness, who thinks this form of garb is anything other than annoying pandering to fashion? Bygone times this was "standard" for "respectable" and most guys with an office job wore it. Now - well its pretty much the list MTD laid out - which are not respectable. I got teased by a prospective employer for wearing a jacket and tie to an interview. It just does not work, and seems to be fading from the level of "Standard" in most of the churches I have been to -except for preachers - which have been demonstrated to be a generally ornery bunch anyway.

I did wear a sport jacket to my Mom's funeral - which I accidentally preached at....(don't claim to be a preacher - but got a message - and it ran longer than I thought it would)

No song books were involved.....
