I don't see why. Im not particularly "proud" to be white nor am I ashamed. To me it's irrelevant where we came from genetically. What matters is where we are going spiritually
I can speak for me and what I have been raised to know, I am proud of my heritage and where I came from. I was raised to embrace it and pass it on to my kids and grandkids, and so I have, am and will continue to do so. I understand what you said about the importance of knowing where you are going spiritually, but that seems to matter little if any to most people in this day. I am proud to say that not only did my parents pass on their heritage but taught me about God and that is something I embrace closer than ever and has been passed on now to the 5th generation of my family.

And that seems to be the essence of what we are discussing. I was watching a CNN interview with Charles Barkley and he made some great points about how we all separate into our tribes.
I believe racism is a problem but it's not as big a problem as the left makes it and THAT is the problem. The problem is we are all being conditioned to separate into our tribes and fight by the media and the pushers like AS and JJ.

No truer words were ever spoken (or typed) Racism is a problem like alcoholism, but it takes alcohol to empower the problem. Racism is no different. It is only a problem if it is empowered. The main reason the KKK is no longer relevant in our society is because our society stopped empowering the movement. White people would no longer lend them soapbox.
There are still pockets of racism. There is a town here in Arkansas that is racist. There are no other races living there nor would they be allowed to. But their philosophy has no power because everyone outside the town looks at them as irrelevant to the rest of society.
We can blame the media and the left for empowering racist like AS and JJ by giving them a soapbox, but the real empowerment comes from the black community that responds in a negative way. This why you do not see the KKK on media anymore, there is no response that brings conflict and ratings. It was Morgan Freeman that stated the solution to racism is to stop talking about it. In other words, stop empowering it.
