Sir, those caugt in the act in Texas can be and have been gunned down by homeowners. No right to a trial.

Courts deal with those who are caught AFTER the commision of a crime, or are caught in the act by 1. the legal authority, or 2. A very kind citizen.

but IN THE ACT is a very different animal.

Even still, lets deal with Treason. In WW2 America DID in fact go after citizens who were working for the Nazis. In fact those not in America were targeted purely and simply and there was NO due process.

Due Process is a vital part of America and I do not treat that with disdane. However, Due Process is NOT due to someone who is actively making war on America. regardless of their citizenship status.

Leaving America, moving to Yemen and setting up an Al Qada branch and seeking to kill Americans is an act of war. The response to such can only be one thing. Overwhelming force. All rights forfit. period. That is not a point of discussion.

I agree clarity is needed but there are some instances where we simply draw a simple line in the sand and say "if you cross this line, there will be nothing left of you for your family to burry... and we may take out your family too if you take them with you."

We've punished or killed people without due process.
We've marched people to internment camps simply because they were of a certain nationality.
We ignored previous treaties and marched people across many miles while they died of sickness and weakness.

Precedence does not make right.

There are instances where, in keeping with rule of law, trials are held without all of the rights afforded the average American... military tribunals being one... I recognize that. But to strip God given rights from someone simply because they were accused of a certain crime is not acceptable. Do you feel that every single person accused of terrorism is actually guilty?

Is no one falsely accused?

If they are guilty... hang 'em. Do what you want to. But an American citizen is assured a trial by the constitution. The Constitution is the law... or it is toilet paper.

One brought to trial for treason is innocent... until proven guilty.
One brought to trial for terrorism is innocent... until proven guilty.\

Afterward... hit them with the fullest extent of the law... but just because someone chunks their favorite inflammatory word at someone else doesn't make them guilty. That is what a trial is for.

When we hear of other countries doing the same thing to Americans we are appalled. And yet we welcome it with open arms when these actions belong to us.

nice words. stuff I can agree with, if the accused in located here in America where we can arrest him and move him thru the process.

However, are we to sit back and do NOTHING when the guy is in a country we cannot get to him in? (Yemen). Do we simply just wring our hands and say "we cant touch him because he is American" when he is actively working to KILL AMERICANS?

if someone crossess that line, I am not going to be happy with my government if they sit back and do nothing because the killer is American and we cant get him into a court room.
