Re: Oneness Pentecostals and The Blood Of The Lamb

Read the book of Colossians, it stands totally against Fudge. If you are sincere I would recommend the book "The message of Colossians and Philemon" for as Peter said, Paul can be a little hard to follow. (II Peter 3:16)

Do you have an example?

It isn't tongues that saves you. It is the Holy Ghost being in you that saves you. The Word of God says that we are none of His without His Spirit. (Romans 8:9) Speaking in tongues is what happens when you are filled with the Spirit of God. SO you must repent, and be baptized in Jesus Name (because that is what Acts 2:38 says and that is what the Apostles did all through out the entire book of Acts, which is the ACTions of the Apostles) and be filled with His Spirit to belong to him, with the tongue bridling evidence of speaking in tongues. Why? Because God said to do it. Prophecy said it would happen in the Old Testament. This is the rest in which cause the weary to rest. (Isaiah 28:12) The tongue is set on fire from hell, and the most unruly member, and when you yield your tongue to God, you yield the most unruly member of your body to God. Repentance is your heart, baptism is your flesh, and tongues is your tongue. Makes you complete.

As usual, the question was avoided and not addressed. Notice, in the response (it wasn't an answer to the blood question), there is no mention of the blood of the Lamb being sufficient, or insufficient, for redemption....without tongues.

Anyone wish to actually answer the original question and actually address the blood and tongues in your answer?

Thanks.

The blood redeemed (paid ransom for, purchased) the whole human race. But every individual must surrender the temple of their body to its rightful owner. This happens when we receive the Holy Spirit and are thus regenerated.

Paul spells it out plainly in Ephesians 1....

Christ's blood provided redemption and pardon.....

Quote:
7 In whom we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of sins, according to the riches of his grace

Then, when we accept the above, God takes residence in that which he purchased......

Quote:
13...And when you believed in Christ, he identified you as his own by giving you the Holy Spirit, whom he promised long ago.

14 The Spirit is God’s guarantee that he will give us the inheritance he promised and that he has purchased us to be his own people. He did this so we would praise and glorify him.

Only those who yield their will to his ownership by allowing him to put his mark of ownership in them are saved.

The blood redeemed us so the Spirit could regenerate and save us.

The blood is what God bases our redemption and pardon on. But the blood is not God. Only God himself can recreate someone by the new birth. But he does this on account of the blood.

Actually, God doesn't base our redemption on the blood, God actually redeems us by the blood. Additionally, this same blood acted as our propitiation, our atonement. I think you're saying that one is redeemed without tongues, if so we certainly agree.

I don't understyand why you are splitting hairs on my choice of words concerning redemption. Furthermore, concerning redemption, certainly people are redeemed without tongues. But as I stated previously, the entire human race is redeeemed, but being redeemed is not the same as being saved.

agree, if we but understood,
in making sinners pure and good,
and take their sins away."
