Re: I Can't Stand Romney.

Love this article by Erik Erickson at Redstate. He's always good.

You'll be happy, crakjak. He will vote for Romney if he is the candidate.

The National Review’s Candidate Won’t Stop Digging

It is days like today that make me thankful I think they all suck. At least I’m thankful I’m in the firmly not Romney camp.

This morning Mitt Romney said he wasn’t concerned about the poor. The poor, after all, have food stamps and Medicaid. But don’t worry. If the safety net is broken, Patrician Mitt Romney will fix it so the poor can stay comfortably poor. After all, just look what he did in Massachusetts. The poor can now wait 44 days to get in to see a doctor. Excelsior!

So you don't think we have a big enough safety net for the poor.

Romney was beat up all day for that remark. By people that want to look stupid, he never said nor meant what the mass media and the Newt crowd have lied about all day long. But hey, all is fair in war, love and politics, you know! Take a partial comment and say someone said they don't care about the poor. Romney gave over four million dollars the charity, so I guess he doesn't care.

At least he won't vote for Obama!!! That should be instructive for you, PO.

*yawn* Romney is up big, 20%, in NV right now, so I doubt "the hair" will endorse Gingrich. But who knows, both Trump and Newt are unpredictable.

In other news Gingrich is challenging the results of his FL beatdown - a ploy to try and get a few delegates.

Seriously? What a crybaby. I'm embarrassed for his supporters. Gingrich has Obama's thin skin and Al Gore's whiny, crybaby attitude.

I think that many Republicans like Obamacare, for the most part, and want Romney to win for that reason. Pam Bondi, Florida's AG, has been defending Romneycare. She stated she is for the mandates. So, there ya have it - what the push for Romney is really about. Voting for Romney = Obama.

I have a few more recruits for you to pick up for Romney. The number keeps growing. Better get to work.

I am also understanding that Trump will be endorsing Gingrich tomorrow. We shall see how that pans out.

Pam Bondi is a compassionate, moderate Conservative whom I have had the pleasure to meet on several occasions. I did a joint volunteer venture for her camp on one occasion and she struck me as real-- not phony.

The key to the GOP taking back the White House is to present a moderate candidate. I guess she and others are begining to see the writing on the wall.

Not that it really matters, but Trump endorsed Romney.

The point is that the choice of wording was a fundamental lack of understanding about conservative ideology. Conservative economics is that our policies are going to help everybody, including the poor.

DeMint even addressed Romney on his comments instructing him to "backtrack and reframe". His comments make it look like he is all right with having Americans who are dependent on government-subsidized social programs.

So, your point on Gingrich lying all day long is lame. Toe Torry!

And really, if you say "not concerned" - bad choice. And if you say, there is a "safety net", it makes it look like you are not going to help the poor move out of that place in life. Out of the abundance of the heart, the mouth speaketh. Romney = Obama

Erik Erickson would have to make that commitment. He has the most popular and respected conservative blog. Fortunately, I do not have to make any commitment.

Character assassination is another form of voter fraud.

How is your recruiting going? 'Cause you know come hell or high water, I ain't votin' for him.

If he won, turned this economy around and we were popping champagne corks in the street, I still wouldn't vote for him. If he lied about Gingrich's ethic violations, that he was cleared on in order to win Florida, when he knew he was cleared, what will he do in the White House to get his way? Not doing it. Toe torry!

Very happy that Trump did not endorse Newt. And please don't take my defense of Newt as an endorsement. I am doing what Mark Levin is doing, pointing out the sheer hypocrisy on Romney's part concerning Newt.

64% of the GOP voters have been polled saying that the endorsement will not effect their vote.

And putting Trump where most people view him was made very well by Dan Foster at National Review - "Trump is a tax-hiking, missile-defense-opposing, universal-health-care-advocating, eminent-domain abusing, Dem-donating clown,"

And a Tweet by Chris Lehmann - "Now that Romney has nailed down the coveted birther/reality-TV-has-been demographic, he truly looks unstoppable."

He has a valid case and here is the rule - Every state that goes before April 1, 2012, is required to award its delegates proportionally. Florida was supposed to go after that date but moved up its primary in defiance of the RNC’s wishes. They were penalized by having half of their 99 delegates taken away — but for some reason, their “winner take all” rule was allowed to remain in effect despite the date change.

The RNC’s already punished Florida once for moving its primary up by taking half its delegates away; if they forced them to go proportional on top of that, it would be an additional sanction. To compromise could restore all of Florida’s delegates and then award those proportionally.

This same situation happened with Obama and Hillary during the 2008 Democratic primary. The full Florida delegation, eventually, was reinstated when the results of the primary became immaterial to Obama's overall victory.

If Newt had won Florida, Romney would be "whining" as well. It is a rule and it should be enforced correctly. Nothing wrong with Newt wanting to follow the rules.
