I would encourage others to search the scriptures for themselves, and find it out for themselves, but never would I want to condemn anyone to hell because they didn't believe my doctrine.

When Paul reprimanded the church about false doctrine, it was to those who no longer even believed in Jesus. He recognized though, that there would be vegetarians, and meat eaters, circumcised, and uncircumcised, differences of opinion, and possibly doctrine. BUT we are not to judge men by their doctrine.... but by their FRUIT!

What kind of fruit are we seeing evidenced here today in this post by Steve Epley?

I am so thankful that I will have to answer to a faithful judge, with the blood of Jesus covering me, and not have to answer to the men of this movement (such as the Apostolic Churches International, or the AMF and so on) who are for the most part, men who LOVE to cast people into hell!!!

God will be our faithful judge, not man!!!!! Steve Epley, you have no right to condemn anyone to hell, that is a position only God serves in!!! Pointing souls to Christ is your (and our) responsibility, not condemning them to hell!!

Tell Paul that!
Gal. 1:8
2Cor. 4:3
Tell John that!
2 Jn. 9-10
Tell Jesus that!
Jn. 8:24
The blood of Jesus is not covering anyone who is not abiding in the truth.
Sorry you have evidently walked away from the truth may God have mercy on your soul.
John said we are of God and the whole world lieth in wickedness.
NOT ONE soul is saved outside this Acts 2:38 message.

Ok Bro Epley, considering Matt 28:19 is a direct quote from Jesus, and keeping in mind that 2 Tim 3:16-17 says "16 All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness: 17That the man of God may be perfect, thoroughly furnished unto all good works."

Do you ever quote Matt 28:19 to your congregation? In what circumstances do you quote Matt 28:19 (considering what 2 Tim 3:16-17 says)?

Ask the Apostles? They baptized in the NAME of not just repeating the command they obeyed the command.

Yes I quote it and preach from it all the time. I obey the verse I do not repeat the verse. The Apostles did not repeat the verse they obeyed the verse.

What is the gospel? Give me scripture where Paul says the gospel is what you say it is!

What about Romans 10:9

Jn. 8:24 One of the scriptures you quoted - doesn't quite go along with your doctrine!

John 8: 24 I said therefore unto you, that ye shall die in your sins: for if ye believe not that I am [he], ye shall die in your sins.

Thanks for condemning me to hell. Does that make you feel better to have condemned a soul to hell today, and you're not even God?

The emboldened actually come out of your mouth?

So why is it then a compromise to quote it before baptizing a convert in Jesus' name? It seems to me what you're saying is I can quote Matt 28:19 in the church building, but I must not quote it next to the baptistry...lol

It's complicated.

It seems to go back to whether you believe Jesus is the name of the Father, Son, and Holy Ghost.

But at the same time, what if someone gets baptized in Jesus' name, not knowing that the Jesus is the Name of the Father, Son, HG.

What if they obey Acts 2:38, but still believe in the trinity? why doesn't that invalidate the baptism?
