Your right, I truly do thank God for keeping that woman from voting for Obamacare.

So, if you lived in Mass. who would you have voted for???? Martha Coakley? There is a possibility that Brown could be converted. Martha? Not a chance.
BTW: Brown opposes late term abortions, that is a good start. Did you vote for Obama, if so, you should not pursue this line.

Well, be careful. There's only a limited # of those allowed in heaven.

I would suggest that you read all of the post before you tell me not to pursue this line. It is evident by your post you don't know the facts. Some of the posters who are thanking God that Brown won are the ones who said one could not be a christian if one voted for someone who is pro choice, pro gay as Browns is yet they are now THANKING GOD that Brown won.

Re: Massachusetts Election Day
Perhaps we didn't vote for Brown. I know I didn't since I don't live in Mass. However, I do rejoice that he won over Coakley.
I would not feel comfy voting for Brown if I was given an anti-abortion, fiscal conservative candidate as an option.
In this case, it was a matter of many Conservatives supporting the candidacy of a man who, while he does not lin up with social conservatism, is fiscally conservative and will not support the horrendously bad plan that is Obamacare.
I think abortion is a deplorable abomination. I think Obamacare would be even monumentally WORSE than legalized abortion. It would further the collapse of our capitalist representative republic and speed up our march towards a Socialist nation under the Fascist left leaders (Obama, Reid, Pelosi).

My dad is a yellow-dog Democrat. He's also the finest Christian I know. He is a prayer warrior, fasts every Wednesday, a soul winner, a giver and has a reputation that is impeccable. He simply votes as a Depression Era, FDR southern Democrat. He was a phone man for 45 years and a union man for 25 years. He votes on the premise that Democrats represent the "little guy" like him and the GOP is all about the wealthy. Its an outdated paradigm imo, but he's 75 and I won't change him. If he doesn't go to heaven simply b/c he votes Democrat, I don't have a rat's chance to make it, b/c I fall far short of the man of God that he is. He doesn't like abortion or gay rights. Its all economics to him. I told him over Christmas that he would be perfect if he wasn't a Democrat. He had to at least have one flaw. His response? "If I weren't a Democrat, I'd be ashamed".
So I'm sorry you were called a babykiller some time ago. That's not a fair characterization. And it is hypocritical for people who have said such to call you so and then celebrate the election of Scott Brown.

My father-in-law was a fine Christian man. He was a member of the Teamsters Union and a staunch Democrat. I remember many years ago he told me, "I'd vote for a n... if they ran him on the Democrat ticket." Yes, he was somewhat prejudiced also. He was a World War 2 veteran and a good man. He was just the product of his times and was strongly opinionated. His parents were both from Virginia ("not West Virginia but OLD Virginnie" as she emphatically told my wife one time when Pat said something about her being from West Virginia). Grandma never learned to read or write. Grandpa was a preacher in an organization called The Church of Jesus Christ but he was what we would call a one-stepper. I didn't agree with my father-in-law on many things but I could not say he was not a good Christian.
I have stated on here that I can't see how any Christian could vote for a person who promotes the Democratic Party agenda. That's my personal opinion. I realize not all Christians feel that same way and I would not attempt to judge anyone's spirituality or salvation if they disagree with me on political (and a host of other) matters.
