Anyway, if there is something a foot - we will find out and all will be laid to rest. In the mean time, I will take her at her word.
PO, I'm just looking at this as I would with any other politician from either party. None of the explanations I've heard pass the sniff test. They don't hold up when you think them all the way through.

If her reason were these frivolous suits, why suddenly quit now. She just released a statement stating that all of the suits had been dismissed. Why spend the millions of tax dollars to fight and defeat the suits, then suddenly quit? If those issues are settled as she claims, and there are no other shoes to drop, what is the problem?
Other politicians (including BHO), have had suits filed...even going as high as the Supreme Court in his case.

P.S: It is a very dangerous proposition to take a politician at their word...we really do not know these people.

P.P.S: I think I better stop soon before you get violent

Go ahead, make my day!

I'm going to bed!!!!!!

And for your reading pleasure - I am holding my breath hoping she is not lying! I mean, anything is possible. Look at Gov. Sanford - "If I died I would know that I had met my soulmate." Then he says he is going to reconcile with his wife. Hello! You just told your wife that you will always love someone else!!! Lord, KUH-RAZEEEEEEE!!!!!

You threw me off for a bit. When I read your post, I thought I had mistyped and said I was going to get violent...that's a dirty trick. We all know who is prone to acts of violence around here...especially in reference to Sarah Palin.

I'm not sure why you lock your doors. If I were a betting man, I would put the number of weapons on or near your person at any given time at at least five.

You spoke earlier of the Democratic process. What about the American Democratic process of - "Innocent until proven guilty". Does that count for something?

When the story of Gov. Stanford came out that he was missing, I posted that I thought it had a feel to it of scandal, but I didn't elaborate, although, I wanted to post it is probably a woman involved. I waited until I could prove my feelings on that.

That's what I would like us to do with Palin - take her at her word until proven otherwise. You can bet I won't support her if she is lying.

Re: Sarah Palin announces she will resign

The FBI reiterated that claim Saturday, telling the Los Angeles Times for a story Sunday that the Federal Bureau of Investigation was not investigating Palin's activities as governor, a former mayor or in any other capacity.

"There is absolutely no truth to those rumors that we're investigating her or getting ready to indict her," Special Agent Eric Gonzalez, the bureau's Alaska spokesman, said.

Good for Sarah Palin!!!
The left never see a decent person leave office for perfectly wise decisions, so they create scandal to excuse it. The Demos cry and moan if the Republicans don't co-operate with them in their socialists purposes, then they use ever quarter given as the platform for screaming for more. Reminds me of the terrorists in Gaza and the West Bank. Same source of unrighteousness, same tactics.

They are trying to cut Sarah Palin legs out from under her because they are scared to death that she might be some part of a conservative comeback. Always screaming "fowl" no matter what.

Same tactics as the terrorists, what they cannot win in the public square they try to win by any means available. They care not for the desires of the mainstream, they care only about power and their own wellbeing.

Same tactics as Obama used with Acorn, and now wants to secure his power by the same means. Have the corrupt Acorn put on the federal payroll to do the census.

Totally and completely corrupt, no sense of right or wrong, just power. But because of the insulation around them no one can stop them. No sense of nationalism at all, every other government is just a legitimate as the next no matter how corrupt.

Re: Sarah Palin announces she will resign

Crakjak,

What about other conservatives that find her appalling and being the blame for not winning this election?

Dont you think that if McCain had picked someone else, ANYONE else - a Republican would be sitting in the White House at this very moment?

I dont have a problem with her getting out of the Governor's Mansion. Now maybe she can go home and keep a better eye on her daughters so they wont make the same mistake the oldest one made.

Sarah go home or drop down to the lower 48 and make quarter of a million dollars for one speech; hibernate for a few months and live off of the proceeds; then give another speech. This way you'll have more time to pay quality attention to your kids.

This COULD free her up to say more of the things she really feels and the base feels and connects even more with the conservatives (which may not be politically correct and the viable candidates wont be able to say to win over moderate republicans) but it will help rally the base against the liberal machine. And this will help in 2012.

Yes Sarah go home, look over your daughters and make some real money giving one hour speeches.
