Apostolic is defined on AFF as:

  1. There is One God. This one God reveals Himself distinctly as Father, Son and Holy Ghost.
  2. The Son is God himself in a human form or "God manifested in the flesh" (1Tim 3:16)
  3. Every sinner must repent of their sins.
  4. That Jesus name baptism is the only biblical mode of water baptism.
  5. That the Holy Ghost is for today and is received by faith with the initial evidence of speaking in tongues.
  6. The saint will go on to strive to live a holy life, pleasing to God.

I understand what you were saying. Just playing devils advocate.

I've always wondered why "cleavage" is considered taboo. We just came back from Jamaica (a very entertaining and relaxing week I may add!) and sometimes wished that some women ONLY showed cleavage. LOL
But it shows that one persons idea of what is "too much" is vastly different then another guys. My own PERSONAL mental ruler says that a LITTLE cleavage is ok (based on person and bust size) but more than a "little" is "too much". Sound subjective? It is, and always changing! One simply cannot make hard and fast rules on such things.

Its interesting some folks consider this a attack thread, i just simply was curious as if folks would do something similar in their own assembly.

their opinion is the same. they just seem to think it best to make a line of demarcation, ie.. the collarbone.
i have no problem with it being lowered but there are some that it could be a stumbling block for, I suppose.

Men's standards are a lot less stringent than women's standards
because men make up the rules.

2) What's the deal with this racial barrier you discussed? Why would it be a barrier to anyone?

They would be considered VERY much into the UPC/classical Pentecost. They're generally friendly people, and the pastor there has a lot of other ministers helping him, so it's not run by some dictatorial-authoritarian-pastor. Could I make my spiritual home there? Probably not... There is a strong racial barrier that I have always felt difficult to break, but one of the assistant ministers attends there with his family and they are Caucasian.
I totally missed this the first time I read this. I'm kind of surprised, and very sad, that such a thing would even factor into a decision about where to attend church.

I've attended churches that had a racial make up where I was seriously in the minority. I never even gave that any thought when it came to deciding whether or not to make that my church home. And each church I made my church home, was truly a home in spite of the color of my skin or anyone else's.
