That is awesome

I really don't know why. Eddie doesn't even feel that way at all; he only goes because he feels like God tells him to. But he isn't passionate about it at all. I've talked to Sister Alvear about this, because I don't understand the deep burden I have for Africa, when Eddie is obviously supposed to be right here where we are. So I have to believe that I'm supposed to pray, send gifts, and just do what I can when I get to go.

but what you are doing is blessing someone and obviously God needs you to feel this way.

I have feelings in the area if missions but fight with them, for what reason I do not know. I know it is futile to fight and argue against what God wants

I think about it and I know I am not called to preach but I strongly believe I will one day not live in the USA. Not sure where it will be that we go but I feel very strongly about it. I just need to learn to listen and follow a little more closely to God and maybe I will get a better understanding.

I am over anything missions related at our church, so that kind of fills that urge (a little). Last year I got to go to Hong Kong, Costa Rica and Kenya on mission trips. I am the one who keeps in touch with all of our Love & Truth national pastors overseas by email, and once in a while even by phone. I send all the support money and get to determine where the mission budget is dispersed. So even though I am in Jackson, TN, I do get to participate in foreign missions quite a bit.

I will pray for you that God gives you clear direction. I have always been fascinated by other cultures and languages, and my daughter is the same way. I know that God puts those things there for a reason. If He is speaking to you about other nations, then He is probably going to put you somewhere at some season of your life, even if it's temporary.

Re: Hey Tongue-Talkers!!!!

Have you ever awoke from a dead sleep speaking in tongues?

It's been happening to me a lot over the past few weeks.

Seriously.

I'll wake up speaking in tongues, and the Holy Ghost will be so strong in the room.

Sounds like HE is trying to tell you something..

I have heard of this

Thank you

And temporary is fine if that is what He wants. I understand the passion for things related to missions though. I know the difference between being moved on to give money and praying for someone and something else. I always get very emotional when it involves missions. I love reading about other countries and cultures. I especially love to hear about their foods.
