just remember, dont try that dried bean thing in a chili! use canned beans.
cooking dried beans requries more water than your chili will have.
by the way, I made the same mistake you did years ago so I know exactly what you went thru with that!

Duly noted!
It actually had a good taste, except for slight crunch of the beans.

Re: My Dinner Failed!!!
I was very young-10 or 11 years old and was cooking something in our kitchen by recipe. The recipe called for "saute the onions" - When I read it I asked my mom " How do you salute the onions?" It is a family joke to this day!

Re: My Dinner Failed!!!
I remember when I was little and I made some pudding in the blender. I didn't realize I wasn't supposed to take the bottom off, so I took it off and pudding went everywhere! My Mom said "That's the last time I'll let you make pudding!" And I said "Why? Now I know I'm not supposed to do that!!??"

You cant be a good cook unless you learn what NOT to do! That is my moto!
You really cant cook Marsalla without Marsala. you can use a Medera, a port, or a sherry and get a good flavor (in fact i did it this week with a medera and it was great)
I dont recomend using cooking wine but really it is better than nothing at all I suppose.
|
But if you use anything other than Marsala it is not Chicken Marsala anymore. =)
Cooking wine is just bad wine with salt added to it. NEVER USE IT.

I have used uncooked beans, you just cook them in water till they are partially done and then add the other stuff to the pot and let them finish.
