McCain Wants To Delay Friday Debate
John McCain is suspending his presidential campaign to focus on the economic crisis and is requesting to delay Friday's debate with Obama. Tune into KFYI, the Valley's Election Headquarters, for the latest.
I am sure most of you are impressed except for the few libs on this forum. I am sure they will find a way to bash this decision.

Me thinks that any thing Sen. McCain suggests will find some level of support on this completely objective forum of Independent minded folk.
Actually, if Sen. Obama had made this suggestion, it would be thrown up that he is needing more time to shore up his debating skills.
Sen. McCain is much better off the cuff than Sen. Obama, of course.
Since Sen. McCain is the one suggesting it, he automatically has good intentions....
Spare me.

CNN confirms: McCain, Obama to meet with Bush about bailout
Posted: 09:15 PM ET
From CNN Chief National Correspondent John King
Pres. Bush has summoned Sens. McCain and Obama and congressional leadership to the White House to discuss his plan to bailout the nation's fianancial markets.
WASHINGTON (CNN) — President Bush has asked both Sen. John McCain and Sen. Barack Obama to join him for a meeting at the White House Thursday afternoon to discuss the economic bailout plan, a White House officials said.
"The President called Sen. Obama tonight around 7:30 pm," said Dana Perino, White House press secretary. "The president has invited the bicameral and bipartisan leadership, and the two senators running for president, to the White House tomorrow to work on driving to a bipartisan and timely solution."
Obama's campaign said in a statement that he has accepted the invitation.
"A few moments ago, President Bush called Senator Obama and asked him to attend a meeting in Washington tomorrow, which he agreed to do," the statement said.
"He has said that he will continue to work in a bipartisan spirit and do whatever is necessary to come up with a final solution."
A McCain adviser said McCain also plans to attend.

I think it is funny how here in AZ the Dem's complain about how McCain would not vote to bring mney from the national level into AZ but yet we have a Dem governor that has us in a 1 billion dollar deficit. The Dem's here better pray hard that some changes for them or they most likely will not control things here much longer. We have a Mayor in our capitol that is a Dem also and he has our city in a deficit also.
Why not put a Dem in the white house let them put our nation deeper in a hole. If they run the senate, house, and white house we are in BIG trouble.

Yes, and in my home state of Michigan, under a Democratic governor, government jobs outnumber private sector jobs.
Certainly wasn't like that under a Republican governor........

Yes. I just heard them say on Fox that Bush requested this and Obama conceeded.
